Last night I had really bad diarrhea, bad sore throat, woke up with bumps and swelling on my bottom inner lip. I am on Augmentin and the pharmacy is closed

I'm taking it for a sinus infection.

The sore throat started about 3 hours before the diarrhea.

call your local emergency room, if they arent able to answer your question, they will be able to refer you to "ask a nurse"

Call the doctor that prescribed you the Augmentin. Usually you can just talk to one of the nurses there to see if you need to come in.

Diarrhea can be a side effect of any antibiotic. You don't say why you're on Augmentin and if you had a sore throat before hand. If you're having swelling of your lip, you may also be having an allergic reaction to the antibiotic.

Stop taking the Augmentin until you can speak with the pharmacy or your doctor. If at any point you feel you cannot breathe, call 911 or have someone drive you to the emergency room.

Nurses are not reliable sources about medications.
This could potentially be a serious drug allergy. The diarrhea is a side effect, but the bumps and swelling on the bottom inner lip could be something more. Do you have any ulcers in your mouth? If you do, you need to potentially immediately go to the emergency room.

1-877-TALK 2 RN This is the number for BCBS 24/7 Nurse Hotline, it's the only service like that I am familiar with, and I don't know if you have that insurance, or if they will answer questions for anyone, but it's certainly worth a try. Hope you feel better soon!
