It depends on what you're doing.

Six straight hours of reading from a statistics textbook is like an eternity in hell.

Six straight hours of doing something fun or interesting seems like nothing. Gamblers and gamers often talk about sitting and playing for hours without noticing the passage of time. I've often lost track of time in the pool or while I'm reading a good book or something.

"Time flies when you're having fun" is so true.

I grade school the nuns told us time would go by more quickly if we worked faster. According to Einstein, just the reverse occurs. Because of these good but mistaken women, I am several nanoseconds younger than I would be otherwise.
