Just talk to him, simple. See what he's like around you, if you share interests ect.
And to the person who wondered what shanked means, it's to be stabbed (and most likely killed) with a homemade knife.
And why does everyone care if it's guy on guy? Is it really that important, the gender? Now, if this person was a badger or something (so it's be guy on animal) I'd be slightly worried, but guy on guy is just 2 human beings that love eachother. And before anyone gives me some rubbish about God not allowing it, he doesn't "allow" incest either, but I think that it must have gone on if the population started with Adam and Eve.
