I would like to debate whether or not I and other Christians (even if your just "Sunday go ta meetin'" Christians) could make wiser use of our time (and therefore the Lords time), doing something that would actually do something to glorify God, instead of asking and answering the unbelievers a slew of non accentual questions?
Though it may be fun.

Debate might not be the right word I`d use but when someone ask a question even those who claim to not believe then why not answer. Jesus said where two or more are joined in my name there am I in the midst of them. Jesus walked with the lost , he came to save the lost. So my point is a lot of our answers go on deaf ears but maybe just one out there is really looking for the truth and that is what we are suppose to do.If you can find away in the physical world to help others then that is a great thing but being here and answering questions isn`t a waist of time either, though sometimes it seems to be.

Well, yes, we could. We could work in any number of places for human rights and for the homeless, children's services, even hospitals, as volunteers, but if you are employed full time and already give some of your free time to the needs of others, just maybe what you say in this venue will make a difference to someone who is seeking. "Go out and spread the good news to all the earth, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit." This is a place to spread the good news, isn't it? At least it is potentially.

friend , you are correct , i have quit on here several times , but end back up here when i have nothing to do, hoping that i may be able to reach at least one, but sometimes it seems that all the people on here are reprobates , other than the Christians that are doing the same, i wander if people that are really seeking help and seeking God come to a site like this for help,,, i am very close to quiting on here again, but will wait until God tells me it is enough. i also am a preacher of Gods word , and i preach Christ , death, burial and Resurrection , it is getting harder and harder to reach people today , but we are sent out to tell them anyway , if not to get them saved , to be a witness against them , God forbid that will be , but that is the truth. i hope all will be saved , but you know and i know its not going to happen, but at least we wont have there blood on our hands. prayers and keep the faith,, we must do all we can do , in the world , on here it we can and ever where in our daily life,

Not all Christians are called to be here...I for one,am...Without going into details and the sequence of events that led me here, suffice it to say that I am engaged in a divine appointment...Participating on an open forum such as Yahoo Answers, would not have been a choice that I normally, would have made.

It is fun to be on here. Except when someone stalks you and you get Vio. notices and questions deleted.
I've actually learned quite a bit on here about atheism, other religions and even Christianity. Reading other answers is interesting.
Just because you are a Christian does not mean you can't do something you enjoy doing.

Answering questions on Y!A is preparation, since it shows what questions people might ask in the field, and testing, since it forces one to reevaluate their faith.
EDIT: Good point GP, though speaking to people through cyberspace is a lot easier than face to face.

Belief in myths is a galactic waste of time, holds back evolution and in plain dangerous.

just talk about how great heaven will be if we worship god instead of how much hell will suck.
seriously, fear hasnt worked as of yet, maybe if you can convince us that heaven is gonna be the best then we'll consider it
