Why so much hate and bigotry here? I mean, sheeesh. A man who believe in Jesus asked a question about the existance of Jesus, and I quted a scripture to him: Luke 2:10-11 : "And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. "

Now, I was the ONLY answerer, but somehow managed to get FOUR thumbs down. Thats a neat trick: ONE answer (me) and FOUR thumbs down. I'm just curious: Are there people who just see my avatar and automatically do a drive by on me? I'm not mad, I'm just curious.

Seriously though: If you have that much hatred inside of you, that is not healthy. I'm being real. That kind of thing can twist you up. Maybe you should pray a little for the gifts of Love, Joy,
Peace, and Kindness. I will too. Deal?

I know, I've complained about this before. But come on, man, isn't that just a little spiteful?

I thought the hate would help. Maybe I need a bigger hat

I mean HAT, not hate

I like the hat - it makes you more approachable.

Hatred and Apathy follow some people like a swarm of gnats.

It's a shame they don't make bug-spray for it, really.

edit; okay, here's my answer without the metaphorical mumbo-jumbo.

You pissed someone off, and that single person can make several user identifications, and that can explain why you receive several ratings all of which showing the same opinion.

Or it could be a group of people, but at the end of the day it might as well just be one person if they all share the same opinion.

Yeah many people here are very hateful and bigoted, try saying anything pro-gay and you'll get loads of thumbs down :P

I'll probably get some now for even saying the word.

Told ya...

Christ told us that we would be hated by the world because of him.

"If the world hates you, realize that it hated me before it hated you. John 15:18

19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God." John 3: 19-21

a 'thumbs down' can be a disappointment...but it hardly qualifies as 'hate and bigotry'...perhaps if you turn the offense-o-meter down a skoash, you might lower your resting BP...i'm not setting myself up as an example to follow, but i never notice the number of thumbs up or down my answers receive-it's just not that important! maybe it's an issue for those who strive to be popular, but popularity has never been a priority for me

Your answer doesn't prove Jesus existence. Thus, making it a bad answer, and bad answers deserve thumbs down. Now if only they didn't take away the thumbs down option to questions=(.

Aren't you a tad over dramatic? A thumbs down means disagreement, not hate.

Maybe it has less to do with your answer and more your name and avatar. The Catholic crusades were a long, bloody and terrible war which really symbolises the "hatred and bigotry" that can come from religion.
I mean, it's the Christian equivelant of "Jihad Warrior".

I just asked something similar:

I suspect it's because we can't lay aside our doctrinal differences and focus on the object of our love and worship, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Once your heart is centered in Him, everything else seems unimportant.
