I have a metal ice cream scoop and I can hear something swishing around inside of it. Someone told me that it was mercury to help warm the handle and scoop the ice cream, is this true?

Never heard of such a thing. How old is it? Less than 40 yr. I really doubt it.
Edit: Diamond girl, can't be the same one. That ad is for SOLID Aluminum. No sloshing. I have one of those.
