Depends on how many people you'd like to meet. If you'd like to have a place to go where you can meet a whole new group of people each week, a megachurch would be ideal. I do think that maybe it would get a little cliquish, so you might want to take that into consideration.
I went to a church today that has about 20 - 25 regulars and it was fine. I don't think I'd have a problem either way though.
Try both out go to one for a month or so, then go to the other kind. One will feel more comfortable, the other not so much.
You can really gain anonymity in a megachurch.

It doesn't really matter as long as it is a spirit filled church. If you join a small one it can feel more personal. You can know the pastor better and even find time to talk with him without making an appointment. But some people like large churches and all of the activities that they have. They usually have many programs and groups to join. Each one has its good points. I myself like the smaller church.

Mega Churches are terrible! It all becomes a popularity contest with the Faith watered down in order to make it go down easier. You'll get pretty music and slide shows, but you won't get community and you won't be challenged to do anything other than wave your hands around while singing and pay the Pastor lots of money.

Personally my opinion is that mega churches are not supposed to exist. I think when a congregation gets to be a certain size you break off into a sister church. Mega churches cannot possibly meet the needs of all members of its congregation. It's also very impersonal.

I favor mega churches now...Well the small churches I have went to preach from what ever some one tells them instead of preaching what god says to them. I do think God gives grace to the mega churches. They hold more people's attention and they have more programs and involvement in the community.

If by better you mean financially, bigger is better.
By normal you must mean smaller in congregants. Which is more important to you? The truth (learning, even if it means change), or attending where theres a lot of people who are potential buddies (aka, social clubs) and everything's ok?

They tend to give you an easier way to worship meaning you can pretty much do whatever you want during the week but if you go to that one church meeting on sunday then you will be saved.
Why do you want such an impersonal way to worship?

I try to stay away from them all. Go out side and talk to the sky you'll find more peace there. Stay home on Sunday and preach to the JW that come by saying god sent them. Funny thing when you try to convert them they never come back.
