my best advice would be to grow up in the LOrd before you try and teach
the Bible says not to send out a NOVICE
and if your asking for milk
you are not ready for meat

READ / STUDY

and ask GOD instead of man
your already outside of His will
so i say REPENT
and go with God and HIS WORD

During your welcome, use a greeting from one of the Pauline Letters "Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 1:3 for example.

As far as birthdays go, there isn't really a specific birthday verse, but I have used 2 Corinthians 5:17 on many occasions to signify the past and moving into the future, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old is gone, the new has come!"

Anniversaries especially a couple of servants of God, I use Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

Communion follow the guidelines set in 1 Corinthians 11:27-32 and then read some scripture on the Last Supper as to what Jesus said.

Offering: If you want to guilt them into giving use Malachi 3. The one I rely on and explain is 2 Corinthians 9:7 "Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." Give what you have decided to give, not what others are telling you to give.

The best piece of advice I can give you is to vary the scriptures used for each part of the service. Seek God's guidance and allow Him to lead you to some verses to help you. If you continue to use the same verses over and over, your congregation will assume you haven't done any research and you are not adept and change. These verses are just stock verses, that I have used, but I don't use all the time. Continue to search for your own style and soon everything will fall into place for you. You have undertaken a huge magnificent responsibility, and if you keep God in the forefront, He will bless you.

A scripture to open a Sunday Service.
This might be an attention getter and an eye opener!

"Be still and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth." - Psalm 46:10

"Peace be always with you."
