i just asked a question about dyeing my hair back to its natural color (medium brown) when right now it has highlights in it and i want the highlights gone. anyway, i talked to my mom and she said once i get money (soon) i can go into the hair salon and get it done. anyway.. i was wanted to ask 2 questions:

1. Approx. how much will this cost if my hair is about 6in below my shoulders?
2. If i go a little darker then my natural color, will it look stupid or dumb when i grow it out??

thnx!!!!

1.my mom is a hairdresser and she has her own home salon. her prices for a permanent full hair color is $50 and up ( she has her prices a slight bit cheaper than the hair salons so i would say maybe $60)

2. no it will not look stupid when it grows out.

I was in this same exact situation at the end of the summer: same color, same length, wanted highlights gone, etc. I was also told to have it done professionally, that if I tried to just color it all brown myself, the light highlights could end up bright red.

Anyway, my corrective haircolor procedure cost about $75 for my length. She used a demipermanent color, as she said I didn't have enough gray to warrant a permanent color, so I don't know if that affected the price. When the new brown color would start to fade (about 2 months), I went back for another coloring, but after that, I just started doing it myself at home regularly before the color fades and any remaining highlights show through again.

I did do it a little darker once too at the salon, and it wasn't too good - looked too flat and chalky in my case, and made my pale skin look even paler.

Good luck!

That depends on what part of the country you live in,& how classy of a salon you go to.But if you go to HairMasters or Regis, they are always pretty reasonable. But as a rule, hair that is really long, costs more, because of the fact that it will take more product. The answer to the second question,no as long as it is only a shade or so darker. You will have the gothic look if you pick too dark of a color. The hairstylist will be able to advise you on that.

I just recently got done what you want to do and I think it cost me about $45, but I go to a really high end hair salon. And if you dye your hair darker, your roots might look a little weird as it grows out. What I did was I got my hair glazed. A glaze doesn't last as long, but instead of growing out, it just fades out so you don't see your roots and it's a lot healthier for your hair.

It depends on where you go--a discount place like Hair Cuttery and long hair, maybe $50. You could probably go on its web site for a price list.

If you go darker than your natural color, your roots will show lighter when your hair starts to grow out. Then you'll have to get touch up and have continuing upkeep. Talk it over with the person who colors your hair when you go in.

It would flip orange it is dependent upon the quantity of the bleach i had very very dark brown hair after which dyed it bleach blonde it became pink so you really need to be careful with bleach seeing that that you can at all times dye your hair once more but if your hairs no longer strong enough it'll dry out unhealthy

1. it should cost $30-$50 depending on your hair stylist.

2. No it would look better than if you went lighter than your natural color bc then you would see your roots. if it is darker you cant really see the roots.

it could flip orange it relies on the quantity of the bleach i had very very darkish brown hair after which dyed it bleach blonde it became red so that you particularly have got to watch out with bleach when you consider that you'll be able to regularly dye your hair once more but when your hairs now not powerful ample it'll dry out dangerous
