Been dating this girl for almost a year. She's great, has great family tons of great qualities. But I just don't see myself marrying this girl and I have no idea why... Any ideas?

im 28 and been thru what your going thru, i just let go of a girl i was with because i asked myself that very question...i realized i wouldnt ever marry her or have kids with her, so why waste her time(it caused me some guilt). im single now and alot happier not having that burden on my shoulders anymore. YOU WILL KNOW THE RIGHT ONE WHEN YOU MEET HER.

why fix something that isn't broke? it sounds like you have a good woman there, just enjoy life with her and let everything else work out. There is no need to rush into marriage, just as long as you both have a great relationship then take one day at a time, you dont want to end things and have regrets later on in life.

if it doesn't feel right in the long run-- its not. you know when you can see yourself marrying someone-- and that doesn't mean you have to be ready to be married right now. it happens as sort-of a 'future outlook' kinda thing. you can feel it, and you know it. its automatic, and just comes to you. you don't have to really think about it, and ponder it before discovering it. there are perfect people out there for all of us, and you'll know it deep down when you find them. it doesn't mean that things can't work out for now, or that she/he isn't a great person. it's all about chemistry.

I don't see why my boyfriend has to be my potential husband - I just want to enjoy the boyfriend / girlfriend stuff without that SERIOUS commitment - and I know one day when I meet someone who ticks every box - when I am ready - I won't have a shadow of a doubt!!!

well i think you know theyre the one when they're truly ur best friend. and you can talk to them about absolutely anything without even feeling the least bit weird. and hanging out with them it feels like ur the luckiest person in the world. and when life gets you down, they're the one you need to talk to. and when you kiss them and such, it feels like ur floating on a cloud and every time, ur heart jumps.
