I'm really close with my cousin. She really wants some of those Ugg Boots and I was thinking of getting them for her, but if I do, that would be more than any other gift I'm getting for my brother and sisters, and even my parents. Do you think they would get mad...or maybe upset or something knowing that I spent more on my cousin than anyone else?

Choosing a gift for someone is entirely your own choice. If any one feels bad, it shows their meanness only. You need not care for such relatives.

You could say you got them at a great sale price and it's not their business how much it really cost. In fact, would any of your family even have an idea of the cost?

Another approach you could take is, assuming they are as fond of your cousin as you are, is to ask if they could chip in just a few bucks . You'd know better whether they're likely to say yes or no.

i wouldnt think so. if they do, then their very selfish and dont understand christmas. i say if they complain, tell them their lucky they got anything at all.

or just give it to her on the side. not in front of anyone, and if anyone asks, she can just say a friend from work gave it to her.
