Suicide is against Islam. Martyrdom is not. "Suicide bomber" is a derogatory term invented in the West to try and describe what in Islam is known as a Fedayeen or Shahid... a martyr. The point of the bomber isn't suicide. It is to kill infidels in battle. This is not just permitted by Muhammad, but encouraged with liberal promises of heavenly reward.

FROM A MUSLIM:
CONDEMNED.
Those muslims who do not condemn it are confusing suicide with martyrdom. Martyrdom IS rewarded while suicide is a great sin.
Murder is also a great sin according to the Qur'an and since suicide bombing is BOTH it is clearly wrong according to Al-Islam.
Sura 5:32 of the Qur'an says that killing a person is the same as killing all of humanity and saving a life is like saving all of humanity.

There are several other ayats condemning murder.
Since bombs did not exist 1,400 years ago when this scripture was revealed it does not adress bombs but the prohibition against killing with fire even in times of war would apply here.

It is a shame that so many people have been convinced otherwise.
I hope this answers your question .
PEACE

Justified and encouraged. It all depends on how they frame the conflict. As long as they blame the victim (which they always do), they can justify the attacks as martyrdom and resistance to oppression, which is justified and encouraged in the Qur'an. Needless agression (which is what all forms of violence caused by Muslims really are) are condemned, but muslims will make sure that they never see themselves as the bad guys.

Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim - In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Hello. So-called suicide bombing is strongly condemned by Islam. Allah has set down rules for Muslims, including rules for combat. One of these rules forbids the intentional killing of noncombatants, such as women, children, and the elderly and infirm. When a bomber sets off his explosives, he does so indiscriminately, killing guilty and innocent alike. By following his own desires, he is actually showing a lack of faith in Allah, because if he were a true believer he would have patience for Allah to make a way for him that did not involve such horrible mayhem.

Secondly, by doing such terrible acts, he makes people hate the Muslims and feel revulsion at Islam, thereby turning away many people who might otherwise benefit from learning about Islam. People who see a suicide bomber mistakenly think that they are doing an act sanctioned by Islam and thus paint the whole religion as a terrorist faith.

Thirdly, these people are often taken from the ranks of the downtrodden and uneducated (religiously uneducated, as there are college graduates who perform these acts). Others take advantage of them to pour false information and hatred into their hearts, convincing them that they are doing a meritorious act when in reality they are committing a sin. Not only the bomber but the teacher is doing a serious wrong.

We Muslims who truly understand our religion always pray for Allah to help us and to stop these horrendous acts. Regardless of how we are treated, Muslims have standards for peace and war and we cannot sink to barbarity in order to achieve our objectives. Only when we return to worshipping Allah in the proper humble manner and return to living according to the true teachings of Islam will we deserve to be at peace. And Allah knows best.

May Allah guide you to the best in this world and the next. Ameen.

Fi Aman Allah,

Nancy Umm Abdel Hamid

nicely, purely the Wahabbis, Salafees and Deobandis seem doing one in each of those artwork, suicide bombing ie. between the worst bidaah dedicated by using those people interior the call of Islam. How unhappy and shameful!! the captivating shariah of Islam has special and shown information on the thank you to place a end to oppression and persecution. Even in concerns of try against, to illustrate, all regulations have been laid out explicitly by using the large imams of Ahl Sunnah wal Jamaah. Fitna (Slander/Dissension/Upheaval/Chaos) occurs while the works of our large acknowledged alims (pupils) of the previous are actually not noted and abided with, yet we take the Quran and Sunnah and attempt to interpret it in our very own silly and deviated techniques. would Allah Taala defend us all.

Of course mainstream Islam is against such violent acts.
It is only the fundamentalist / extremist muslims who commit such acts - because in THEIR eyes, THEY are the only ones following Islam 100% -- and therefore they see their mainstream Islamists, no longer being of Islam as such ---- and so they feel justified in killing/murdering them too.
See the documentary "The Power of Nightmares" which explains this in detail, with it's history.

Obo,
From everything that I have read and heard it is against the religious views of most Muslims. I do not want to make a statement for the Muslims but that is what I have heard from my Muslim friends. Have a great week. Please vote as you choose and I will do the same.
Thanks,

Haven't you noticed how they protest such behavior? Why just recently they marched in the street with machetes in hand over such behavior, or was that because a teacher had named a teddy bear mohammad?
