i know what you're talking about. today, girls typically are the ones leading. i live in a frat and i've found that a lot of guys don't lead. guys these days seem to be lame or they'll join in on the dancing when they see a cute girl already dancing. by no means should a girl be doing all the work. if you're considering grinding as a form of dance then girls pretty much are the only ones "dancing". all other forms of dance the guys should be leading to some degree because when you're dancing with someone the dance should integrate the two of you somehow. it really depends on the guys. if you can find a good entertaining guy, then he'll lead you to make the dancing fun for the both of you.

i prefer to lead and to be at a good frat party ;)

Well usually the girl takes the lead because she is the one who is applying herself to the guy. Not a lot of guys can do much with dancing with a girl but the good dancers that are guys join the girls dancing and make it more interesting. But yea usually the girl leads and i like it like that. I move and he works with how I move. And I'm assuming you're talking about grinding. Grinding is mehh, it works at parties but I love dancing.

That's a hard question to answer, but I've often noticed that women are more comfortable dancing than men. The result may be that they are more active on the dance floor. I would hesitate to call it a gender equity issue - I bet men who dance well work just as hard as their female partners.

If you mean grinding then thats not dancing and you should follow the girls behind. If you mean dancing as in Spanish music, every other genre then the man should lead.

If they are dancing together (touching) the guy typically leads...if they are dancing near one another but doing their own thing then it doesn't matter...either one can choose to follow the other's 'lead' as far as what dance moves to make or they can choose to do their own separate thing but just do it near one another.

If you are holding on to each other (slow dancing) he should be leading. That is how all dances are where you are touching, males leads. We have the hard part, we dance backwards!

I don't think there is necessarily a good answer to this. Its all in the moment really. Whatever really feels right at the time. Sometimes it depends on personality. If you like to take charge, do it! If you're a little more shy let him lead. All in all, just do whatever makes you feel comfortable.
