This year I wanna try and make a gingerbread house I have a box of gingerbread crackers and icing so i'll use ready made Crackers

◘ Chimneys and stonework: Peanut brittle
◘ Doors: Graham crackers
◘ Log,poles& beams: Pretzel sticks (large and small )
◘ Fences: Mini pretzel sticks, fashion chocolate licorice
◘ Flowers: Gum drops stuck on toothpicks
◘ Gravel walkway: Crushed nuts
◘ Icicles hanging from roof: Drizzled royal icing
◘ Porch columns: Peppermint sticks
◘ Smoke rising from chimney: Cotton candy
◘ Snow : Confectioners sugar or shredded coconut
◘ Snowmen: Stack large marshmallows to create snowmen
◘ Roof & shingles: Long sticks of gum, vanilla wafer cookies or mini shredded wheat squares (frosted or unfrosted)
◘ Streetlight poles: Top a candy cane with a gumdrop .
◘ Streams and skating ponds: Mirrors and aluminum foil
◘ Trees: Rice Krispie squares; ice cream cones topped with cotton candy
◘ Walkways: Dampen superfine sugar, add food colouring and press onto ground. Use colored candies to make a cobblestone walkway. Use frosting to glue the candy into a path that leads up to the house.
◘ Woodpile: Cinnamon sticks or mini pretzel sticks
◘ Windows: Edible rice paper, or melted hard candy (such as Life Savers or lollipops).

Yup, I agree with Jason. The fun part is decorating it! So buy the premade one, it will make your life a lot easier...and you can get to the fun part faster!
