Not much. You'll probably get 10hp if that to the wheels. It will sound better, and perhaps be a bit more responsive.

If your exhaust system is in good shape, save yourself some money and just add the Flowmasters. 2 1/2 inch exhaust on a 289 2 barrel isn't going to feel any different than 2 1/4. Until you're pushing around 300hp, 2 1/4 inch will be just fine.
Been there, done that, spent the money to learn.

Nitrous Oxide. Called the Supercharger in a bottle. A good dry system can be bought on-line for $300 - $500. You could add 50 - 75 HP. Even more if your are willing to risk breaking parts. A dry nitrous system can be installed in an afternoon if you are handy with tools and can follow directions. Exhaust system will give you 10 - 15 HP at best. Nitrous is better Cold air will only get you about 15 HP. Nitrous is better. Turbo charger or super charger can get you 50 - 100 HP. But costs $1000 - $2000. Nitrous is better Heads, cam, intake and headers can get you more power. Very expensive. Nitrous is better. A chip can give you about 25 more HP on a V6. It will cost you $150 or so. Nitrous is better. Could swap out V6 for a 350. Expensive. Would be better off looking for a 350 Camaro instead.

I am going to ruin your day. Save your money. Going too large an exhaust could actually hurt horsepower and torque. If you already have dual 2.25" exhaust, you will gain NOTHING on a stock engine and VERY little on a small engine unless you spend some major bucks on intake, cam and head work. Most 4 liter engines by various manufactures only have a SINGLE 2.25" exhaust, and you only have 4.7 liters.
Want more noise, change the muffler. Now, larger exhaust does have one good point in your case. It will sound deeper, buy that is about all.
Sorry, but I am being truthful.
Best of luck.

Not much at all for the price.
If you got 8 to 15 out of it you will be lucky.
real horsepower will come from machining the valves, changing the intake , carb and camshaft. You can also change out the rear depending on what type of driving you do. Dont waste your money just save it and buy a car thats already fast. I learned that lesson the hard way myself.

First, I'm guessing you are quite young. Flows suck in my opinion, it's just all kids know to buy. You'll get more kick from a set of Spin-Tec pro/street mufflers avalable from dr.gas.com Also, H pipes are not nearly as effective as an X pipe. H pipes change the sound somewhat but don't scavenge nearly as well. You might gain 20 hp.

Check with the manufacturers and see what they say the increase will be. I would estimate somewhere around 25--30 HP increase.
good luck.
