For a short time, it does. But then it catches up with you, and it really f***ing sucks to have done it. So I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone try it as a way to deal with depression, but it does help for a while.

I have been suffering from post partum depression for the past one year when I gave birth to a baby boy. I couldn't stop thinking about how my husband loves him more than me and how things might be better if he wasn't born at all. Thus, I stayed away from him because I knew that I might do something I will regret for the rest of my life.

Almost instantly I went to a therapist and convince them that I need help. Among other things, I've tried herbal supplements and other book to treat depression but nothing works like the Depression Free Method. So now I'm proud to say I'm one of the happiest mother in the world. My husband loves us both very much and I thank the Lord for the blessing he gave us.

Depression Free Method?

cutting is not the answer it will only hurt you more in the long run. If you have to have a physical how do you cover up the scares it leave or the open wounds how do you expain how you got them. Cutting is not a very good choice. It doesn't help with depression it just add one more thing to it. It help you forget the mental pain but you still have the physical pain. Cutting usually is a response to stress rather than depression. Cutting causes a release of endorphins that help relief stress. Then cutting becomes compulsive and necessary. Cutting is an ineffective and unhealthy response. If you are thinking about cutting or have cut yourself, get help. Cutting does not solve any problems. It just adds a new one.

Yes and no. Yes because when I'm so upset and can't think straight all I need is 2 cut it makes me happy. No because later on I feel so bad about doing that to myself. It does not make my pain stay away forever just a hour. That is how people become addicted b/c it makes u feel better. I have been cutting myself for four years.

Cutting only takes away your mental pain, because the physical pain of cutting yourself is greater at that moment.

Cutting is NOT the answer!! Your problems will still be there after you stop bleeding, plus you end up scarring yourself...not very attractive. Talk to someone, write about what's bothering you, sing...JUST DON'T CUT!!!!
