I will be making a stop from a fly and have around 6 hours to spare in Los Angeles. What can we do in that time? Is possible to go to any famous place?

"Amanda" is correct. It is about 1 1/2 hours round trip if the traffic is light. Remember, however, that once you leave the airport you will have to go through another TSA security screening to get back in so allow enough time for that so you don't miss your connecting flight.

it totally depends on the time of day you do it... but from LAX to the Hollywood and Highland shopping mall where you can see the sign, it's an average of 45 minutes one way, so that's about an hour and a half... But if traffic is REALLY out of control (which is always possible) it could take longer... But I think with 6 hours, you'd be fine. If you go there (Hollywood and Highland) you'll be able to walk the Walk of Fame, where all the stars are on the sidewalk. See Graumann's Chinese Theatre, where the hand and feet are in cement. See the Hollywood Roosevelt (Where the first Oscars were held). See the Kodak Theatre (where the current Oscars are held). See the El Capitan Theatre (Where Jimmy Kimmel Live is taped). Etc. Since you're coming from the airport, you should also hit the Santa Monica Pier. It has a ferris wheel and a rollercoaster on it. It's very cool and has been in tons of movies. You can do it on the way to H&H or on the way back. See the site below for more info on Hollywood Blvd. Oh, also, at the airport, it will be easy to grab a cab, but before you get out, make sure to write down the cab company number, because you can't just hail a cab anywhere else, you have to call them and they take between 15-30 minutes to show up after you call. Hope this helped, and have fun!!

You might not want to go all the way up to the Hollywood Sign. That is a long mountain road. BUT....you can see it just fine from below. Ask a cab driver to take you to the Hollywood area around Griffith Park and the Observatory. You can get there in under an hour. You can also go to the Chinese Theater in Hollywood and see all the Foot/Hand prints and the Walk of Fame. 6 hours is plenty of time.

If you go via La Cienega I would guess it would take you about 45 minutes to get to a location where you can at least see the sign. This would leave you a little time to see maybe the Walk of Fame and Graumans and a few things before you head back.....
