Jesus (PBUH) was never crucified!!! All modern scientific studies prove that he was not crucified. Also a national geographic episode said there was a witness that saw when Jesus (PBUH) ascended to heaven and that Jesus (PBUH) was mocking all those who thought they Crucified him. Besides Jesus (PBUH) was Jewish and observed the Sabbath and never ate pork. Furthermore, if Jesus is as Christians claim divine than wouldn't allowing your creation to kill you make you inferior to your creation. Jews are still waiting for their messiah. Muslims believe that Jesus (PBUH) was a honored prophet who could speak in the cradle and cure the sick, and revive, the dead through god's permission. Furthermore, in Islam, It says that it was made to appear that they slew the messiah when he indeed ascended to heaven until his second coming to earth. My final point is that prophets create religions during their lifetimes. It is not for the creation to create a religion that was not authorized by a prophet as god always in the past spoke directly through his messengers and never through basic men directly.

WOW Have you been brainwashed by someone or something. READ THE BIBLE Jesus died for the Gentiles just as He did for the Jews. Paul was sent to minister to the Gentiles. If you aren't a Jew then --guess what----you're a Gentile. So I know what I am-what are you ?Romans are Gentiles, and the Greeks, and so many others. In fact ,LL but theJews WOW do you need some guidence? The Bible states that the way is through Jesus. To get to God you must go through Jesus. If you deny Him then the Father will deny you. When Jesus was on the cross HE COULD HAVE called a legion of angels to take HIM down, but, He didn't go to the cross to come off alive. He was the sacrifice for the sins of the world and sinners to come, LIKE YOU. YES HE DIED FOR YOU TOO. .People like you don't want to accept it so all they can do is speak harshly against the man that died FOR THEM. Who else would hang on a cross and give their life for YOU? I really don't think anyone. I have a whole lot of very close friends and I don't know one to hang on the cross in my place. They may say they would and believe it at the time, but when the time came----I DON'T THINK SO.So why don't you get your facts straight before acting like you know what you are talking about. Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays or whatever you call this time of year.READ THE BIBLE A LOT AND NOT JUST A FEW PAGES. IT ALL GOES TOGETHER .OF COURSE IF YOU GO TO CHURCH AND LEARN YOU WON'T HAVE TO READ SO MUCH FOR THE PREACHER WILL TELL YOU AND EXPLAIN WHAT IT MEANS ARE YOU SCARED TO LEARN ?

Jesus is a dull ringer for the invisible God. The be conscious became flesh. Jesus is God interior the flesh, and any knowledgeable Pastor would assist you recognize an analogous element. Colossians a million:14-sixteen 14 in whom we've redemption by His blood, the forgiveness of sins. 15 he's a dull ringer for the invisible God, the firstborn over all advent. sixteen For by using Him all issues have been created that are in heaven and that are in the international, seen and invisible, no remember if thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All issues have been created by Him and for Him John a million:14 The be conscious will become Flesh 14 And the be conscious became flesh and dwelt between us, and we beheld His glory, the honour as of the only begotten of the daddy, crammed with grace and actuality.

Jesus could have easily saved himself but he chose not to because if he hadn't died then we wouldn't be saved. Jesus was a Jew but he was often going against things that the Jewish leaders said e.g. he ate corn on the Sabbath. Jesus believed that alot of the Jewish leaders and Jews were straying away from God and just concentrating on the 10 commandments but forgetting the God behind the commandments. Jews aren't lesser than anyone, God loves everyone equally. Christianity is based on Jesus' teaching so Jesus did advocate it.

Your answer shows that you have no clue Who Jesus is, or what He was doing here among men.
First off, Jesus IS God, incarnate. Of course, if you (you=rank and file atheist, since you will deny personal involvement) deny that God exists, you can't understand this concept. It'll be a bit much for you to wrap your mind around.
Secondly, you (and this time you=atheist which would specifically include you) don't realize that the Israelites had already rejected God as their king...look it up in 1st Samuel. Thus it is no surprise that they didn't recognize Him when He came to them (as Malachi had told them, He did "suddenly appear in His temple), nor is it surprising that they are STILL waiting for a human messiah-king.
And of course, you (rank and file atheist) can't understand that God is not Jewish. God is the God of the entire universe (including the lizard-men of Gandara in the fifth solar system, lol), not of the Israelites alone. The Jews were "chosen" to bring forth the son of Abraham, who would "bless all the nations of the earth"...and they accomplished this purpose in Jesus, Who withered a fig tree on His way out of Jerusalem (fig tree=Israel), and warned the Jews what was coming...sure enough, within a generation of His crucifixion, Titus came along and that was pretty much the end of Israel.
You (specifically, you) don't seem to realize that Jesus accepted worship while He was here...allowing Himself to be addressed as "My Lord and my God". So, yes, He would have advocated Christianity, having asserted His intention to build His church, and He IS our Lord and our Savior.
Your assertion that He couldn't save Himself is totally false. When the men came to arrest Him in the Garden of Gethsemane, He knocked them all on their....ah...backs...with three words: "I AM HE." He also healed the servant's ear after Peter had sliced it off.
It wasn't the spikes that held Him on that cross...it was His love for His children...including you (specifically, YOU).
You can deny Him all you like, but you won't change that fact.
I do hope you will grow and mature and maybe one day be able to see past all the hype. (Obviously, most atheists, even though they may have read the Bible, do NOT understand it, as they are so fond of claiming...maybe you should try putting those pre-conceived notions aside, and read it for yourself for a change.)
Nothing would make THIS Christian happier than to embrace a new sibling! May you find your way back to your Father's House, before it is too late!!

Save himself from who? Himself? Jesus went to the cross willingly. It's why he came - to take our punishment onto himself so that we can go free.
I don't know where you got the idea we think Jews are lesser. We're equal. Some Christians even believe Jews are greater, because they are God's original chosen people. But they worshiped golden calves in the desert and now they reject their own Messiah.. Why? Doesn't their own scripture tell them that the Messiah would be rejected by his own people? Yeah, Jesus was a Jew. He was also the Son of God, come to lay down a new covenant, and the Pharisees (religious leaders - Jewish) hated him for it. He was not your average Jew.

Yes, he did die for us. But not just for Christians, for all of humanity. And Jews are not 'lesser' than Christians. We did not 'steal' Jesus from them. They, along with us 'Gentiles' and Arabians, are all descended from Abraham, Jesus plays an important role to all of us, and we are therefore all God's people.

Jesus could have called down all the angels of heaven to remove Him from the cross, He *chose* us.
He was offered the world by Satan to NOT go to the cross (read the temptations in the desert) but still He chose us.
His words in the Garden of Gethsemane said it all.
We didn't steal Jesus from anyone, He *gave* Himself to all who would come to Him (let all who are thirsty drink of the living waters)

This question has been asked a ton.... the answer isnt hard and makes perfectly good sense. Take some time and think about it.... Why would he save himself if this was his ultimate purpose? What good would that do?
The question isnt why couldnt he of saved himself.... because he could of... what he did was by choice...and out of love.
