true love takes a lifetime, attraction is immediate or very quick and depends on feelings, love is a state of mind and depends on commitment even when you don't want to be committed anymore.

It mostly depends on you and the guy. If you keep this up loving him for more than 3 months then yeah your in love. Love lasts in more time, that is true love. If you love him but then say 'eh, I don't like him no more,' in less than three months, then your not in love but your infatuated and that 'love' was nothing more than a crush. If the guy feels the same about you (after three months) then that's love for ya also. Love sticks through all the way to marrige and death. That's how powerful and commited it is. Remember 1 Corinthians 13:3- Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:3

Everyone's answers to your question will vary...there is no scientific answer to how long it takes a person to fall in love. You just have to follow your heart and trust it, but at the same time protect it a little, don't let your full guard down immediately in case he is not feeling the same way about you. My answer is YES....I think sometimes doesn't even take a minute to know you love someone....could be a passing glimpse of a person you never met before but a feeling comes over you that they are the one....the one you should love. Good Luck!!!

I married my husband 10 days after meeting him, We been together 25 yrs now . But love takes work. You have to work at it , even in the good times or the bad, So many people love but don't feel like staying together and move on ,loving someone does not guareentee a good relationship. UNLESS YOU ARE BOTH WANTING THE SAME IN LIFE .MUTUAL INTERESTS AND ALL Just loving someone isn't enough for a good relationship. you must have trust and respect on both sides.

The answer is not a question of age, but of maturity. Maturity is not how much you know, but how well you know yourself. One must be objective and see things for what they are. What is love that cannot be defined by another word? If there is still some ineffable quality left behind when you have removed sex, obligation, companionship, etc., you will have a good chance at being lifelong friends.

Love usually starts as infatuation. It does feel a lot like love. Real love takes time. I would say at least six months. It is when you genuinely care about the person so much that you would put their needs in front of your own.

Love is whatever each person decides it is for themselves at any given time. If what you feel is love by your definition of it at the time, then it is. If it only took you one second to fall in love, then it did.
And despite what some people say, both infatuation (or "puppy love") and lust are different types of love. They are snobs who say otherwise, thinking that their version of romantic love is the only type of love that exists.

I think it is very possible. It has happened to me before...well about a month ago. I was in love with him after 4 weeks, and he wasn't...It sucks, but no one can help falling in love with people...it's natural

Well, it's tough to be sure because you still don't know them that well yet. You may think you're in love now but after a few more months you could realize that they aren't as great as you originally thought.

when u fall in love u will know. if everyone else is saying a certain amount of time they're all wrong. falling in love doesnt happen over a period of time. it happens when u just so badly want to be with a person. everytime they talk to u ur heart melts u will know.
