I do not know about " loving" yourself because that borders upon being vain which is not a favorable attribute to expose to others. Respect for yourself is another matter. One must respect himself before he can respect others. One has to feel secure in his own life . He has to feel confident in his abilities. With these he will gain the respect of others.
