Because they just want to find some dirt on the Roman Catholics. The stupid thing is that if they spent their time on constructive research they could easily come up with some legitimate arguments such as the Roman Catholic false doctrines of Purgatory, Immaculate conception of the Virgin Mary, infallibility of the Roman Pope etc. Not to mention the many lies they tell such as the Church of Rome is the first and primary Church when in fact the Churches of Jerusalem, Caesarea, Antioch, Alexandria all predated them.

Although the risk of HIV infection can be reduced through the careful use of condoms, condoms are only partially successful in blocking the transmission of the virus. Actually, there is very little “safe sex” that can be practiced by a person infected with HIV:

The Catholic Church is not the blame, the Government is

NO, I blame a cultural belief - separate from religion - part of every agrarian society throughout time - that the more children you have, the more to work the farm, and to care for the parents in their old age.

I blame exceedingly poor medical care - recycled needles, unsterilized tools, no screening for blood donors- as the LARGEST factor in the spread of AIDS in Africa. People over there would rather die than have needed surgery for fear of catching AIDS. Mothers have their children at home so the infant won't be exposed to AIDS.

Do the research - most of the people you're talking about aren't Catholic or even Christian.

BTW? The "go ye forth and multiply" is in YOUR bible too - read it.

People who say that condoms prevent the spread of AIDS are wrong: Needles spread HIV. In fact, needle sharing in hospitals, drugs, etc., are what primarily spread HIV in the first place in Africa. It's also possible, though not as risky, to acquire HIV through oral sex (and people typically don't wear condoms during oral sex).

And what of 'micro pores'? They are far larger than the AIDS Virus. I work in nursing and we wear latex gloves several times thicker than a condom. They break constantly. Why would you choose to risk your life like that? Sounds like Russian Roulette to me.

I don't "blame" the Catholic Church.

They just aren't helping the situation any.

And humans have sex, that is something we have done since the dawn of time.

Who told you to be so judgemental?

the catholic church systematically prevented charitable organisations from distributing free condoms, and spread untruths to the effect that condoms themselves spread aids.

the catholic church was formally criticised by the who about this.

i see that you are a great fan of aids.

some of us feel differently about it.
