You are correct. ALL denominations that believe in Jesus Christ are Christian. Hence the root of the word... CHRISTian. Roman Catholicism was the original and first established church by and for the followers of Christ, or Christians. That could be why some might say that they are the "true" Christians. Everything else is lost in the details of religious practice, tradition and doctrine, none of which negate the belief in Christ. I don't think it's right to vindicate or condemn any person based on denomination. God is in the business of truth and knows what's in a person's heart, better than that same person let alone everyone else. He alone is the judge.

I would never say that there are no saved Catholics, I would say that being catholic doesn't save you. Trusting in Christ for your salvation saves you. Some Catholics do, while some trust in rituals and Church membership instead. The same could be said of protestants. God knows the heart.

It is a real scary thing when Christians call other people who trust in Christ finished work on the cross. "Not saved". We are to be judged exactly the way we judge others. I hope the Catholic bashers got it right.

Ya know, if one assumes that God is just, then it doesn't matter what you call yourself.... God will choose whomever he wants.

I would also point out a corollary, that because one calls themselves "born again" or "saved" or even "fundamental" does not grant one automatic entry into heaven. I believe that even if one DOES accept Christ into ones heart one can still have a dead faith. But God will remain just.

Names and labels are so grossly overrated.

How can you say someone is christian if they practice pagan rituals and beliefs. Also how can there priest someone born with sin say they are a continuation of Christ or another Christ. There is too many conflicts with the bible what they believe. Also why would Christians persecute Christians during the dark ages that is if they are Christians. They are not Christian

Not sure I understand your question. I don't honestly know if Catholics are saved, but it concerns me (as a former Catholic), that they pray to Mary and the disciples, when the Bible clearly states that you pray to God. Mary is put up there with God because the Romans wanted to combine pegan religion with Christianity for various reasons.
