I know exactly what you mean. Most churches in America baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, without mentioning that the Son's name is Jesus (or more correctly Yeshua). They get that wording, word for word, from the great commission in the Gospel of Matthew. The Great Commission in Mark gives even less detail as to how one should baptize, or the exact words to say while baptizing a convert. John and Luke give no instructions for how to baptize. In the book of Acts, the practice of the apostles, when recorded, seems to be baptism in the Name of Jesus (Yeshua). There are a couple of denominations in the US and elsewhere that are sticklers on this subject, claiming that anyone's baptism is invalid if the name of Jesus is not invoked. My church adds Jesus to the Matthew version to placate this type of thinking. But to me going around claiming each-other's baptisms are invalid is a silly distraction invented by the Enemy, and at very best it seems like straining out gnats, as the saying goes. As the Apostle Paul said about another similarly silly question, "We are not inclined to be contentious about such things." And you shouldn't be either, no matter what country you live in.

We are encouraged to be like Abraham. In James 2:23, Abraham was called "God's friend". Did he use God's personal name? Yes. What is it?

Psalms 83:18 answers quite well.

As friends of God, we would want to use His name as well. The churches of America have other priorities.

I am not sure what exactly you are accusing us of. However in my church when we baptize we baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Just as Jesus taught us to in Matthew.

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Our pastor baptizes in the name of the Father, in Jesus Christ His only begotten Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
What are you talking about? Of course we baptize in His name. Jesus is God.

I don't understand what you are trying to say or ask? When I was baptized ( as an adult believer) it was done in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

When we baptize we must do so in the name of the Lord to be valid. We say the person's name being baptized. Like, " I baptize you, Suzie Brown, in the name of Jesus Christ upon your confession of faith.Amen.

Every Christian baptism I have been at (many) says " ...I baptize you in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit"...

I am not sure what you are talking about.

Would you like to tell me what God's name IS?

God hasn't mentioned His name at all. He simply goes by "God" and he seems to be happy for that.

We don't know why God hasn't mentioned His name. Considering that He had no mother to name Him because He is the highest power of everything (and created mothers who gave their children names), I wouldn't be surprised if he actually didn't HAVE a name.

The men in ancient Rome named their gods so people would believe in them. Believing in the nameless God depends on mostly faith alone.

Lol, here's a fun fact just for kicks. In Ancient Rome, they had their statues of the named gods, but they also had a statue of a nameless god in case there was a god that they didn't know about who would get very angry if he wasn't worshiped as the other gods were.
