My 3 year old son is not potty trained yet and sleeps in diapers. Every morning when he wakes up, he has peeed through his diaper and his clothes and sheets are wet. We don't get why this is suddenly happening on a daily basis. We were using Huggies but switched to Pampers to see if it would help and it didn't. Any suggestions on diapers so that I don't have to change his sheets every day?

I used to use Huggies/Pampers but, found that BOTH brands leaked terribly at night... I switched to LUVS/BJ's brand and have NOT had any problems with the diapers...

I would try to go up to the next size of diapers AND to limit your sons drinks by half in the evening.. That might help the bedwetting... Also, you might consider getting a waterproof mattress pad AND a sheet protector... Check out Onestepahead.com... Good luck

Luvs diapers in my opinion are deffinitely the best by far,my 3 year old isn't potty trained either.I buy size 6.I had the same problem with the huggies and made the switch to luv's and they work the best.
you can write or call the company of huggies and they will refund your money on the diapers as well

Were you using the Huggies overnight's? They are supposed to be good for this type of situation. Personaly I'v always used pampers, and worked fine with my kids. Maybe you can also use those plastic pants at night over his diaper, I'm not sure what the plastic pants are called but they are used with cloth diapers. Good luck.

they have huggies overnights that work pretty good they also have little thin diaper inserts you can find them at any 99cent stores and they help alot plus there thin and dont slide out of the diaper and are not too uncomfortable or try pullups at night three he should be working on those anyway if you have a biglots in your area they usually have pullups pretty cheap or make him sleep on those absorbant big absorbant pad things so it doesnt get the sheet wet

maybe because he's getting older he's taking in more fluids and having larger amounts of pee come out at a time?

I would convert to cloth diapers so that he can associate the wetness with his pee, and "want" to pee in the toilet like my oldest did. You can also get really good cloth diaper covers that prevented alot of weaking and soaking through into the sheets at our house. Surprisingly wool covers and cloth diaper All in ones are very leak preventable these days and also come with velcro!

good luck and may you find dry sheets tomorrow morning :)

It may be how you are putting the diapers on him - he may be loosening them during the night. My son never did well with huggies - they always leaked. Try pull-ups at night. They fit pretty snug.

I use huggies overnights and they work great. I also read somewhere if this was a problem was to put an overnight maxi pad in the diper, where its needed. I've never tried it but a friend says it works.

maybe you can think about potty training?? or use 2 diapers instead of 1.

It sounds as if he may need the next size up in diapers.
