although he had allegedly told them more than once that he would get crucified and rise on the third day. For example Luk 9:22 & 18:33

The excuse given by Luke ,that they didn't understand what he said, is very silly and rediculous, not to mention that it contradicts Matta which says that they were greatly distressed when he told them that.

If someone told you that he will die and rise after three days, that's not something easy to be forgoten. How about 12 men being told that more than once by someone who was allegedly God himself?

Doesn't this prove that the whole story is made up?

The disciples saw Jesus bringing forth the dead many times.. so what so strange in believing he can rise from the dead himself.

We are talking about 12 men not one man.

Salaam Alaykum, It always confused me how the world lived without a Lord for three days. AllahSWT doesn't die. Nabi's do. He also was sold to his executioners for a few pieces of silver by his own disciple. Subhanallah! No one of Muhammad's companions would betray him for such a paltry price in fact they gave their lives in battle for Allah SWT side by side with Muhammad SWT. Yes just as the story he was tempted by the shaytan a Creation of Allah SWT himself..ridiculous. Jesus said I am the son of man. He prayed to Allah SWT Prophet Esa was born from a virgin birth that is true he performed miracles from AllahSWT like Moses/Musa but once again they earned the wrath of Allah SWT (the jews) And those who went astray to pray to a false God but a high prophet Esa who shall return a sign of the end times. Allah SWT would never in his Infinite Mercy cause his Nabi or prophet to die so miserably and shameful. Father Why Have You Forsaken Me...Who was Jesus alledgedly speaking to himself? It is sad they are the ones who have gone astray (the Christians) and idol worship a man and a wooden idol in the form of cross.
Wasalaam

You have to think like a first century Jew. Here was an Israel oppressed by the Romans and by oppressed I mean they had to pay a temple tax to the Roman empire every time they went to the temple to worship and sacrafice. They were bringing in pagan culture into the society. A plot to over throw Rome by force was being plotted by the Zealots who were Jews that opperated underground feel free to call them a freedom fighter or terrorist organization of the first century. Peter (a memmber of the Zealot sect.)knew Jesus was in fact the Messiah but thier ideas and expectations of the Messiah was that the Son of Man would physicaly over throw all of Israels advisaries through out the entire world and judge and conquer all of minkind and give his authority over to the Jews. They were expecting a champion King like King david to deliver them. None of the disciples realized Jesus would conquer the real enemy that was spiritual who was Satan and his demonic dominion, and conquer death itself. Jesus said "Our war is not of the flesh but of demons and principalities." They were greatly distressed because the Messiah was expected to rule and reign over Israel on Mount Zion. This also explains why Peter would try to strike the guard with his sword. He was expecting the great over throw of Israel to happen then so the Messaih would not be captured and put to death. We see it when he says "Lord may it never be!" or to put it barney style "that's not what I interprate the prophecy to be! Your supposed to be the King over this land!" We also see the disciples waiting to become Kingdom officials arguing over who will sit at Jesus's right hand of the throne once he was King over the world. As you can imagine there was probably lots of dissapointment and shame when they saw the expected Messiah captured and beaten. Even worse they probably started to think "maybe he is a false Messiah!" Which would explain why peter would deny him.
Even John the Baptist had doubts while he was in prison...Why isn't the Messiah rushing to his prophets' rescue before his beheading but Jesus tells the messenger, " Tell John what you have seen, the Lame walk and Deaf hear and the blind see" ( as prophecied in Isaiha)
This should be a warning to all that just because you don't understand what God is doing doesn't mean its not valid.Gods ways are not our ways. They just had differnt expectations of the Messaih's rule and reign. If you ever had to wait on a promise from God you know how easy it is to have different expectations and disapointments that follow.

You know nothing of the Most High God, because God says that His sheep know His voice and if you knew His voice, you wouldn't be asking this question.

Besides, we know the story is not made up, because those same 12 men saw, spoke, touched, and ate with Jesus after Jesus rose from the dead!

What really proves if a story is made up is if a "Child Molester" is saying that God was telling him it was O.K. for a 54 year old man to marry a 9 year old child.

Any reasonable person can understand that God does not condone "Child Molesting"!!!

Only Kimo could come up with a twister like this.
You believe your prophet went to heaven from Jerusalem..no one argues with you; no one call your prophet a liar but you dare to say that the story of Jesus rising from the dead is made up.
What is your mission here Kimo?????
You belong to a faith that believes that it's Holy to run around a stone.
You believe in a faith who believes it's ok to Beat women..
Don't you think your faith needs mending more than Christianity?
Are you indeed the most idiotic poster on R@S?
Will you get this answer deleted also?

Yes it dose, and if you look up Egyptian antiquities you will find that the story of Jesus was written 2000 years before his so called birth, the whole Jesus thing is an Egyptian story that the scribes found out about 2000 years later, and whooped te doo the bible appeared.

If the story HAD been made up, wouldn't those making it up make themselves sound a little more heroic, or at least faithful to their King.
Instead these 12 men admitted their weakness, and also was tortured for telling their story. If they had made it up, the story would have died centuries ago!

I'm guessing you didn't quite get the idea that the disciples doubted nearly everything Jesus told them would happen...until he made them experience it...hence the words "oh ye of little faith"...

No. They didn't want to believe him because the Jews were expecting a very different kind of Messiah. They were expecting Jesus to ride into the city and smite their enemies like a mighty warrior. (He will do it when he returns.)

If you read the Gospels intently, it is obvious that they lacked understanding of Jesus's "Inner" teachings.
