Been Catholic (12 years), Assembly (10 years), First Baptist (2 years), Congregational, Southern Baptist (2 years), Presbyterian, Lutheran, Non Denominational.
Catholic - disliked mean kids and rituals. Every service is basically the same music, words, and rituals.
Assembly - people are nicer, fun music, but adults are encouraged to speak in tongues and have theatrical convulsions. My feet didn't seem to be grounded in reality.
Presbyterian - preacher traveled the state to push Republicanism on members.
NonDenominational - called Presidential candidates "Hitler."
Growing up Church was supposed to teach kids to treat each other well. Today many of the churches have become radical and are preaching politics.
I'm no longer attending because of this and am reading religious history, which happens to be more exciting than the brainwashing I have witnessed in churches. If there is no free speech other than agreement, the church is not allowing anyone to think and therefore brainwashing.

I have tried the Assembly of God which I love but none close to me. I have tried the Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, Non denominational, now the Baptist and I'm hoping that is where it ends. If not I will drive to the Assembly of God.
