Nope. Perhaps seeing eye dogs. I looked this up for the heck of it, imagining my little dachshunds at the all-you-can-eat buffet. LOL.

No. Not anymore. Back in the early 1900's, like when the Titanic sailed, pet's were common. However, back then taking a cruise was a method of relocation (e.g. England to New York). At a price of $75,000 (in today's dollars) for a suite, it wasn't money you threw away for one week of fun. And, if you could afford that, then the cruiseline wasn't in a position to tell you that your pet was not welcome.
I've done a lot of cruises (modern day, I'm not THAT old) and have never seen a dog on the ship. Where would they go to the bathroom? Think of the major hassel it'd be to get the vacination clearance for each country visited. They might be allowed for the blind; but they'd still need the vacinations. And, they'd need a person of sight to clean up after them. If you're asking on behalf of a blind person, then I'd recommend calling the cruiseline.

Unfortunantly pet lovers will be dissapointed. Carnival, along with many other cruise lines do not allow dogs on the ship. Unless, it is a dog used for medical reasons. Also, if you are training a dog for the blind, it may be allowed.
But in my honest opinion I didn't miss my dog one bit, I was having to much fun! :] I'm sure you will to!

NO, and neither do any of the other cruise lines. They will allow a service dog for a blind person. I have been on almost 20 cruises and I have seen lots of people in wheel chairs, motorized chairs, walkers, oxygen tanks, and walkers but have never ever seen a blind person on a cruise.

Sorry, dude, no pets on cruise ships. If you had a dog along, where would the dog "go to the bathroom"? Use a little common sense here.
