Healthy weight loss is usually around 2-3 pounds per week, but you usually lose more weight in the beginning. However, if you are going to work out, you will weigh more because of muscle weight. To successfully lose weight, you need to exercise and eat right.
Exercise and eat right.
Stay away from fried foods, and foods with high fat content. I.E no mcdonalds, burger king, or fast food.
Eat a 1200 -1400 calorie diet, and exercise one hour a day for 5 days a week.
Eat foods such as chicken breast, turkey, fish, egg whites, (try to stay away from the egg yolks), anything wheat is usually really good for you (wheat bread & pita bread) Incorporate a lot of fruits and vegetables into your diet. Fish is also good. Try to eat three meals a day, or you can split up your meals into six meals a day. Stay away from trans fats, and stay on a low fat diet (20 grams per day). Oatmeal, and those healthy bars are good. For snacks, you can eat those 100 calorie packs.
As for lean cuisine for lunch, stay away from that. Lean cuisine meals have a lot of sodium on them which causes you to retain water.
There are also a variety of pastas now that offer whole wheat--just letting you know.
A sample lunch can include: a sandwich on wheat, with a bottle of water and a large apple. Breakfast could be oatmeal, or yogurt with fruit. Dinner could vary. You could bake fish, or bake chicken. Just stay away from junk food and greasy foods. Do not fight untill dinner. Eat healthy snacks. You can eat pop corn without better, celery, carrots, fruits, and soy chips.
For toning, you can do crunches, and push ups. For exercise take up running, swimming, jump roping or anything that works the heart. You can create simple workouts at home without a gym. (at first you might weigh more, but that is due to muscle weight) PS, try to exercise at least five times a week for a hour a day.
Good luck!
Remember to drink lots of water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated!

I had a weight loss doctor tell me that if I count every calorie I consume and keep my colorie intake at 1600 calories a day I would lose 10 pounds a month which is a healthy rate of weight loss. I followed his advice to the letter and I lost exactly 10 pounds per month. I did it for 2 months and I lost 20 pounds. That is without doing any exercise whatsoever other than normal daily activities. I'm sure that if you incorporate a daily exercise routine with the calorie counting regimen you could further increase the rate of loss. The thing is not to overdo it and don't try to lose too much too fast as it is not healthy and you will only put the weight right back on and usually add even a few more pounds. Remember to consult a doctor before beginning any weight loss regimen. Good luck, and Happy holidays

Two to three months is a reasonable amount of time to lose 20 pounds.
Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables daily. Eat fish and chicken instead of red meat. Eat oatmeal (real oatmeal, not instant oatmeal) for breakfast if you can.
Make sure your portion sizes are correct. Weigh and measure things for at least the first week so that you have a very good idea of a portion size. Even packages that look like single servings can have multiple servings in them, and you end up eating far more than you think you are.
Keep a diary of the things you eat. Write down everything that goes in your mouth and what kind of nutritional value they have.
The best website I've found to support this is MyFoodDiary.com. It's wonderful.
Stay away from saturated fats. Don't have sweets or sodas (even diet sodas are bad for you).
Drink lots of water every day.
Get plenty of sleep every night (7-8 hours a night)
Do cardio exercise every other day for 30-45 minutes a day. Do weight training exercise every other day for 30-45 minutes a day.
Take at least one day a week off of exercise - maybe take a 30 minute walk on that day.
You should see results very quickly if you follow this.
Good luck.

I wouldn't take meat out of your diet because that's your protein and will give you some energy. I would just continue exercising and eating healthy. Eat healthier meals and try to avoid overeating. *Stop eating at least 3 hours before you plan on going to bed. *Drink a lot of water. (It'll help you feel less hungry, and it will also hyrdate you and even help your skin!) *Eat 1200 calories MINIMUM a day. You should eat between 1500 and 1800 though. *Try exercising more and changing up your exercise. (Walk 30 minutes everyday and do x amount of jumping jacks or squats every night. And also kick up your intensity as times goes on. Don't overwork yourself. *Avoid salt and carbs. (You can eat it of course, but don't only eat that stuff every day) *Make a list of different healthy snacks/meals you could make. GOOD LUCK! :) PS: Allow yourself to have a free day every once in a while. If you see a really delicious cookie or bag of chips, then go for it. It's not gonna ruin your diet! :)

There are three main ways to lose weight quickly.
1) Use only water as liquid and eliminate all other liquid drinks from your diet. You must drink as much water as possible every day. You must drink about half of your weight. If you have weight of 200 pounds then you must drink about 100 oz of water.
2) The interval between the eating is very important. If you eat once, then you must eat next after 4 hours. You must take breakfast regularly. In the night eat your food three hours before going to bed.
3) Walking is very good. You must walk as much as you can. Walk everywhere you can. Use of elevators and escalators must be reduced and instead of these you must climb stairs more often.
These are some of the fastest ways to lose weight. By just following the simple steps, you can lose your weight very quickly. You must consult your doctor if want to change your diet or exercise routine.
