Does it hurt? MSM works very quickly and since it's natural and your body needs it you should take it for a couple months. It's very bitter but you can put it in orange juice and slam it back quickly. The other 2 building blocks to combine with MSM are glucosamine sulfate and chondroitin sulfate. The chondroitin is a bit pricey but if your hurting that's the ways to naturally fix the problem. It's what your body needs.

Soft tissue damage takes forever because you cant do anything for it except just let it heal naturally and treat the pain with medicine. If the knot is causing numbness it may need to be further looked at. Let the doctor know at the next appointment.

If Doc told you that you have a soft tissue injury in your knee, he should have prescribed anti-inflammatory drugs. Age has nothing to do with the treatment for this injury.

Consult with your doctor to refer you to a physical therapist.
