Gabapentin and pregabalin(Lyrica) are very similar drugs. You should probably notify one of your physicians of your current medication. If you are taking these medications already ask your doctor if either they should be "weaned off" by decreasing the dose over about a week upon discontinuation. I would recommend since the gabapentin is generically available and not a controlled substance that would be a better option than pregabalin(Lyrica).
Arthrotec 75 on the other hand is a combination of a diclofenac and misoprostol. Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug(NSAID), helps with pain and inflammation (FYI...ibuprofen is an NSAID as well) and misoprostol helps prevent any stomach irritation or ulcers that may be caused by diclofenac.
Hope this helps. Please keep your doctors in touch with each other or at least run it by your pharmacist first. Have a great day.

Gabapentin and Lyrica are in the same class of drugs - (Lyrica is called pregabalin). They CAN be used together and actually up to remarkable high doses. BUT - you should NOT start taking the new med without letting the doctor know that you are already on the other one. There is such a thing as TOO HIGH A DOSE. Of youare already stablized on Gabapentin, talk to the physician who prescribed the Lyrica and let them know how much you take every day. If the doctor wants to change you to Lyrica, he or she may taper you off the gababpentin somewhat before starting the lyrica and then get you off gaba and onto a stronger does of lyrica. You need to let ALL of the docs know ALL of the meds you take INCLUDING OVER THE COUNTER MEDS. This is VERY IMPORTANT.
As for the Arthrotec, you can take that with either gabapentin or Lyrica. Just watch out because, even though it has ingredients built into it to protect the stomach, it can still be rough on your tummy. It's best taken with food or milk and exactly as prescribed.
Good luck and call your doctors - ALL OF THEM - tomorrow and get them on the same page.

gabapentin and lyrica definitely cannot be taken together, dont know about arthrotec, that one should be ok with either one. But when you go to your doc's always take all of your meds with you or at least a list of what, how much, and how often of what you are taking. You would be surprised how many docs dont know the meds that their patients are on because we go to so many different specialists. Most pharmacies really dont monitor all that good that there are drugs being overprescribed in this manner either although they are more knowledgable in meds than the docs. Talk with your pharmacist, have him/her give you info in "black and white" and take that with you to the doctor.

So you have seen THREE different Doctors who prescribed THREE different medications for '?' Three different problems at different times? Suggest you just take what the last Doctor told you and forget about the other two drugs and Doctors. Good Luck.
