For one thing how boring is baseball, watching a bunch of over-paid men trying to hit a ball and run around a field. It is so bad they have to take drugs to play the game. Then you take a NASCAR race or for that matter any car race. There is much more excitement watching cars that are within just a few inches or sometimes farther apart but they are driving sometimes over 200 mph. They have to be thinking constantly on what they are doing and watching what the other drivers are doing. If you have been to a race in person you really should understand the speed that they are driving. I think once people see a race in person they have a different outlook on racing. Sports should be different because people are different and like different things. Nascar is exciting for me and my family but we also enjoy football, and other sports. Everyone should watch and enjoy the sports they like and leave the others alone. It is not a contest on sports. I would say however that baseball really has some serious problems.

I always tell them there in the minority since Nascar is #2 on T.V. behind the NFL.
Then I tell them that I understand and enjoy stick and ball sport's AND Nascar but they only understand stick and ball sports.
If they still carry on I tell them that Baseball is called "The National Past-Time" because there just passing time until a race starts somewhere!

I empathize with you. I truly dislike when others make derrogatory statements regarding any sports, especially without knowing enough about the sport to make an educated comment.
Sadly though, there is nothing you can do to "make" someone stop their criticism. Humans have this thing called free-will, and just like it sounds, they will do what they want no matter what.
The only thing that we can do is ignore them and continue to have either educated disagreements, or make the same comments we had planned on making in the first place.

I know what you mean. I hate it to when they say F1 is the best racing ever, and Nascar is not a sport. Tell them to shove it where the sun don't shine! Nascar is one of the most rising sports in the world. And another thing why are F1 and IRL drivers coming to NASCAR!
NASCAR Forever!!

I LOVE NASCAR!!!!!!!! I had a football fan ask me how I could "get into" watching cars go a round in a circle for 500 miles. I said how can you watch grown men fight over one ball and run back and forth with it when they have other balls to worry about

maybe they just like to pick on you. or maybe you associate with a buncha creeps. Either way let them say what they want, because you know better. You just have to have a little more dignity than the sarcastic people. They're the ones who have to live like that, not you. Be cool dude, NASCAR fans rock!

Ignore them. It's tough enough to get Bristol tickets, let them go to the ballpark.
No other fans are cooler to each other, no other athletes support charities like NASCAR does, the list keeps going.
Let them cheer on their thugs and drugs.
