my new proof was just issued, and i've missplaced what i'm supposed to keep in my car. i'm covered by state farm. can i just go to my local office and ask for another one? will there be a fee?

Yes, you can go to your agent or local office and get another. My agent has never charged me for a replacement. If you have a fax machine, they can even fax you one.

To answer your latest addition, you should only need the Policy Number. Your parents can help with whatever you need.

Likely there will be no fee. Call State Farm customer service, they'll fax or email yo a replacement, then mail you originals.
