Jesus was a joyful person, continually urging his followers to be joyful. He explains to his disciples, "I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete" (John 15:11).

There is a more personal answer to the question. I believe that Jesus Christ loves me. I cannot imagine that anyone without a sense of humor could do that. How could he possibly take a look at my life—my foibles and my sins—and still declare that he loves me, without at least a little smile? So many times he must shake his head now and look ahead to my eternity in heaven, where my own laughter will never cease (Psalm 126:2).

Jesus wants us to be happy, enjoy life, have fun, laugh, so why cannot we laugh on R&S, does it have to be serious all the time, share a joke, lighten up and laugh

Do you think we can do this on R&S?

I can but I do not know about the majority of people. Those that have a belief system that needs to change other people to their way of thinking, do not seem to have much joy.

I agree with you. I do not belong to a certain religion but I live my life according to what Jesus tried to teach us all.

Sadly, those that say they are following in the teachings of Jesus, seem to have little joy when it comes to anyone or anything outside their own religion. When Jesus told us to "love thy neighbor" he didn't mean (I do not think) only love those that think a certain way, he meant love everybody on this planet, unconditionally, without judgment.

When one judges, that in itself takes the joy out of their lives, because that means they are living in frustration and fear.

I would say yes if someone coud show in the Bible where Jesus said something that indicated a sense of humor. I am not the right person to quote the Bible, but someone out there must know of a humorous quote from Jesus, if there is one.... That to me will answer your question.

And I see Samirah has already done this... while I was typing my answer! Good job!

the perfect guy without experience of humor?? right here's a pair motives i think of Jesus had a feeling of humor- i've got self assurance all good issues are from God, inclusive of nice sparkling relaxing and humor. Jesus Christ embodied all good traits we could have, inclusive of people who deliver us exhilaration... llike humor. He enjoyed little teenagers. are you able to savour completely a sprint toddler in case you do not have a feeling of humor? did not think of so. So sure, i think of Jesus has a feeling of humor, besides as His Father. (have you ever regarded at a duckbilled platypus???)

He had a fine sense of hyperbole, claiming that “it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God” (Matthew 19:24).

He accused the Pharisees of being blind guides who “strain out a gnat but swallow a camel” (Matthew 23:24).

He was also adept at using biting irony, as when he rebuked the Pharisees for inventing their own petty laws and placing them above God’s teachings, saying, “You have a fine way of setting aside the commands of God in order to observe your own traditions!” (Mark 7:9).

Jesus was a master of witty repartee, as in the case when a man in the crowd shouted, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” Without skipping a beat, Jesus retorted, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” (Luke 12:13-14).

Jesus had an attractive personality and a powerful charisma that people found either so hard to resist that they had to follow him around or so threatening that they clamored for his death. Parrott notes that “Jesus used humor freely, thus permitting in his own humanity the greatness to prevail over the potentially tragic”.

I think humor is a by-product of confidence, so I'm positive He had a sense of humor.
The word 'joy' could be taken as meaning confidence, in fact, both meaning lightened heart, uplifted spirit or sense of hope;
They do go hand in hand...

I would rather laugh than fight any day.
I love clean and dirty jokes, and have a collection of jokes/comics. It's all we did while at sea underwater but joke around.

You gotta laugh every day or your Spirit suffers.

"Did Jesus Have A Sense of Humor?" - Yes, most definitely.

Yep, I am positive that Jesus has a sense of human. It's all part of being human, but I don't think he used it to make fun of anyone. I think he used it for the sole purpose of giving people something to laugh at and lighten their loads.

Jesus had no sense of humor. He may have felt joy and compassion, but this is not humor. He tended to be very serious.

Jesus was the founder of "Yo momma" jokes. Luke 12:2:1 "Yo momma so old Moses signed her yearbook"

Well Jesus was a special guest on SNL, but that still doesn't mean he's funny.
