I hear you people talk about it all the time. What is it? And what scriptures support it?

Is there any scriptural support for the doctrine of this 'anti-christ' being impersonated? Where is the 'anti-christ' mentioned in the Bible?

Anti-Christ means anyone who is against Christ. There are many, and it is stated by John that they were already around in the first century

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.

There is some misunderstanding as to who and what the anti-Christ really is .Many Christians think it will be a man who will come forward and promise a whole lot of things and is really the devil incarnate, and this is not so at all .The anti Christ is not a man but an energy which is set loose at the end of every age in order to prepare for the construction of a new and higher forms. It was released during the destruction of the Roman empire to prepare the way for Christendom and in our time through a group of very deeply evil men ,that being Hitler and a group around him in Nazi Germany. This force is now sealed off to its own domain for the entire age of Aquarius until the middle of the Capricornian age when yet another war will break forth from the mental plane and will mark the end of all evil from manifesting on this planet and will be the final Armageddon.

The bible doesn't refer to only one anti-christ.
1 John 2:18 "young children, it is the last hour, and just as you have heard that antichrist is coming, even now there have come to be many antichrists: from which fact we gain the knowledge that it is the last hour.
By last hour John evidently meant the end of the apostles period. The other apostles had died and JOhn was very old.

2John 7: "many deceivers have gone forth into the world, persons not confessing Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh.
This is the deceiver and the antichrist.
So that would include anyone who does not see Jesus as the messiah or that he came in the flesh or that he is our savior.
He would or a group of persons could be called the antichrist.

1John 2:22 "who is the liar if it is not the one that denies that Jesus is the Christ, or messiah. This is the anti-christ.
1John 2:22 this is the antichrist, the one that denies the father and the son. compare John 10:36; Luke 9:35

Or it could be:
Individuals and nations that oppose Christ as King or that themselves falsely claim the Messianic role.
Matthew 24:24 "False Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones."
So it could be anyone or any nation that denies the Christ as king or his messianic role. Puts up another false prophet and worships him. that would be an anti-christ.

The spirit of the Antichrist is already in the world today, but the Bible also speaks of "The Antichrist" who will come in the future, and will become a powerful political figure. Many will follow him because he masquerades as a "man of peace." He will control 10 nations, and will sign a "peace treaty" with Israel. Israel will not know who he is when they sign it. Then, in the middle of the peace treaty (the 7 year period) the Antichrist will break the treaty, and will wage war on Israel. Part of Israel (the 144,000) will find safety from him. Jesus will return and destroy the Antichrist, before He sets up His kingdom on earth. Read the book of Revelation. It will tell you all about him. Also, read Daniel. God Bless

For example:

2Thess 2:
1 ¶ Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers,
2 not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come.
3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction.
4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

First, the rapture will occur. All Christians on Earth and those already be dead will be taken to heaven. After the rapture, a 7 year period of time known as the Tribulation begins. After 7 years, Jesus will return again.

In the beginning of the 7 years, an evil figure known as the Antichrist will rise to power. He will be very charismatic and attractive, and will seem to be able to solve all the world's problems. 3 years into his reign, he will begin his persecutions of people who became Christians after the rapture.

Any religion that does not accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior. If they look to some other prophet, such as Mohammad or Buddhist or anyone else that is the anti-christ.
Islamic religion is the antichrist that will one day take over the world sparking the return of Christ.

It's a myth only found in the book of Revelations which only made into the Bible as a way to placate some of the Gnostic congregations when the emperor Constantine decided to make Christianity the official Roman religion and told all the divergent christian sects to hammer out a common universal and "Catholic" church with a standard set of scriptures.

It is a term that is meant to be descriptive of the way certain pseudo Christians pretend to be followers of Jesus. People like Pat Robertson and Jerry Fallwell, They are a minority, but they are so vocal they drown out the rest.

Jesus always stood for a loving, inclusive, nonjudgmental approach to his fellow man.

The bigot pseudo Christians see their brand of Christianity as an exclusive club from which they judge all others as being unworthy of any fate other than burning in hell.

Their actions are almost the exact opposite of what Jesus Christ taught.

Hence the name antichrist, or opposite of Christ.

Love and blessings Don
