For the sake of peace in the family, you have got to keep QUIET and forget the whole thing for ever. By opening your mouth, you will cause damages to many and benefit to none.

I've answered this type of question before, and was very helpful to the person. She also found out that her stepfather was cheating on her mother. You need to tell your mom. She has every right to know. Just because you tell her doesn't necessarily mean that something bad is going to happen. It might just be the first step in them getting their marriage back on track. But there is also the possibility that things may go in the opposite direction. Which ever the case may be, that is between them and their problem to work out. I would simply tell your mom exactly what you over heard and let her take from there. If the shoe were on the other foot, wouldn't you want to know the truth?

I think you should tell your grandmother from your dad's side if she is there she might help solving this issue with her son without telling him that you know, old people can handle this kind of stuff, and for you just be a good boy for your mom and try to be calm, good luck.

You have to be very sure of this. Telling your mom at this point in time may not be a good thing. I would say sit tight for awhile maybe things will work out for themselves. You may want to tell your dad how much you love him and your mom a few times aweek. Say nothing more. And I mean nothing. don't let on you know. Sometimes things work out for themselves and human guilt can help. GOD BLESS YOU HAVE MY PRAYERS.

I can't answer if you should tell your mom about your dad or not. I hope that when you get married and have children you remember how upset you were when your dad cheated on your mom and you won't do the same.

14 year old dude, I want you to listen to me as close as you can.....relationships are very very very complicated things. The reasons why your dad would cheat are even more complicated. Please do not at just and only at age 14 take on adult sized problems. It is extremely difficult to live with people who are at risk for killing themselves, depressed. Depressed people who may try to kill themselves are very emmotionally unavailable which means your dad is left out of a relationship even though they do live together. NO humans are perfect, just make sure that you learn how to deal with a problem like this so it doesn't happen to you or should it happen to you what to do besides turn to another woman for emmotional support.
