I have some serious tonsil stones and I can' remove them myself. I know that a doctor can but what kind of dr? Do I need to see a general practioner or a dentist? I tried asking my dad but he hasn't had tonsils since he was six so we're both in the dark on this subject.

THERE IS NOT MUCH THAT ANY DOCTOR CAN DO ABOUT TONSIL STONES.
WHY?
BECAUSE YOU HAVE TONSILS AND THEY KEEP YOU FROM HAVING THROAT INFECTIONS BY OCCASIONALLY FORMING THESE STONES.
I WOULDN'T CONSIDER HAVING THE TONSILS REMOVED TO GET RID OF THE STONES.
STAY WELL HYDRATED AND DO A DAILY GARGLE TO LOOSEN ANY STONES.

U dont really need to see a ENT.. if its just tonsilitis.. then the doc will prescribe antibiotics to u. If its a reoccuring thing then he might refer u to a surgeon to get them out.

cindy is right, you need to see an ent specialist and if you have insuarance most require a referal from your family doctor.
