Three college friends are considering a three or four day cruise from Miami in early March. Can you recommend any? We'd like something offering decent food, gambling, and some other activities.

Thanks for any thoughts, including alternative destinations/points of departure.

I have done both Carnivals and RCL on 3-4 days to the Bahamas. Carnivals ship is a much better choice. The food was better and the crowd fun and active. Gambling on both ships were about the same. I'd recommend the Yellowbird party boat which ever you choose Carnival's prices were cheaper on both that I took to the Bahamas over RCL's prices. All 3 lefts out of Miami, but I have flown into both Miami and Ft Lauderdale. You can get transportation at the airports which was considerably cheaper than going thru the cruise line. Have fun. I think they are awesome.

A cruise is generaly cheaper out of Tampa or Fort Lauderdale than Miami. Almost all the cruise lines have great food or people would not keep coming back to them. Royal Carribean has a rock wall and wave pool which are great fun. They also have clubs for dancing at night so I would not worry too much about not having enough to do onboard.

Enjoy.

I would say go for the four day- the more days on the ship, the better! We went on a six day Carnival cruise from fort lauderdale and it was great. Flying into FLL is better than miami, too, but I don't know if they offer a three or four from that port.

The food and gambling was good on our ship, the Carnival LIberty.

Cruises are fun. Food is good, they all have gambling and there is plenty to do. If your leaving from Miami you will probably be going to the Bahamas ( Nassua). Have a good time. All the cruise lines are about the same. Call a travel agent.

Carnival has 3-4 days out of Miami. Pretty cheap and has all you need. So do other cruise lines though. Check on Expedia.com for rates schedules and stuff. They also have travelers' reviews there.

Carnival Cruise has nice cruises, and I believe they should have a 3 or 4 day cruise. Check www.carnival.com.

I've taken several of their cruises and it is good for first timers or those who only want to be gone for a few days.

First take the 4 day. The first day you are trying to find your way around the ship and there is a long boring life boat drill so if you take the 4 day you will have more time to enjoy the cruise.
College age people should stick with carnival.

Any of them would be great! I have been on 4 and am leaving on my 5th (and shortest, at 4 days) on Thurs. from N.O.! They all basically offer similar standards of food, fun, shows, gambling, contests, and games. If you don't have fun, it's your own fault! Check out cruise.com, expedia.com, vacationstogo.com, or any other travel website and get a feel for what is out there.
