And through the conversation that ensued, I learned that none of my friends are as put off by the idea of sex as I am. We're all about the same age, in yr9.
Further more, while I don't like the thought of sex, tonguing, &c.
I'm extremely fond of the idea of hugs, (literally) sleeping together and just touch in general... regardless of gender. Is that abnormal?

there is no need to have sex with someone unless you care about them and plan on spending the rest of your life with them.you're between the age of 13-16 and that's really young to be considering marriage. if you've been with someone for a very long time (i.e. more than at least 1 year at your age) then its okay, but remember that you are very young and having sex could have serious consequences. Be careful and it is okay to say no. Don't fold for anyone because you are the one who will have to live with it every day. Be proud of who you are. If a guy really cares about you then he will accept that you are not ready and wait very patiently and will not pressure you into doing anything you don't want to do.

i feel the same way. i don't like the idea of sex right now probably later i will but as for right now i just like the thought of being held close...etc. so no.

It is also normal in gr7 thru 9 for girls to embellish their feelings to appear worldly and adventuresome......
