Are you mature enough to sit down and listen to why they are opposed to the marriage? If you can listen with an open mind and give them some grown-up rational answers re: their fears about this, then the situation may change.
If you get defensive every time someone says something, then you know they are probably right and you are just afraid no one else will ever come along that wants to marry you or will love you(very common fear-no put down intended)Remember- love is blind.

Uh, marry him. YOU choose who you love, YOU choose who you marry. If they refuse to pay for the wedding, go to court and have yourselves ordained there until you can afford the wedding.
They need to get over it. You're a grown woman, and you are old enough to make your own decisions. Don't let facism get in your way.

if you lived with him without marriage it would be worse. it's all nonsence. marry who you want. they'll marry you with a rich old farter if you let them. and it's your life that will be ruined, you will have to sleep with the man you don't love, raise his children.... if you really love him I advise you to move to another country if you can. both. or another town. marry there. tell your parents you got a good job there
