an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on a
stool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture, for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make sure that it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or you will damage your back and spine!
Slowly move the upper part of your body back, until it's parallel with the ground. Stop for a second and move it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times.
Every week add to the number of repetitions.
You will see the results in a week, guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - six pack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than these crunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results AT ALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

Try running, jogging, or swimming for 30-60 min a day and do crunches and situps daily, try doing around 2-3 sets of 25-50. Also watch what you eat! It is important to eat the right foods and do not eat before you go to bed as it will just collect on your stomach.

There is no one particular excercise you can do to target a specific body part, such as your belly. The best thing you can do is to eat well balanced meals and excercise, particularly cardio ecxercises, such as walking, jogging, biking, eliptical, etc. when you lose fat, you lose it all over, rather than one place at a time.
Drink lots of water!
Exercise Myth #5: You can target one area, like belly fat, and get rid of it (at least that’s what ads for products like the 6-Minute Ab Blaster say).
Fact: Gimmicks like the Ab Blaster look too good to be true... and they are.
There’s no such thing as “spot reduction” – except in media hype. It is physiologically impossible to lose fat in one specific area. Losing fat in the belly, hips, butt, and everywhere else does happen, but only because you’ve created an energy deficit, that, is, you’re burning more calories than you’re eating. The best – and only scientifically proven – way to do that is with lifelong healthy habits – a fiber-rich, low-calorie-dense diet like Pritikin and regular (ideally, daily) exercise.
“So hang in there,” encourages Director of Exercise Scott Danberg. “Dedicate time every day for aerobic workouts in your training heart rate zone. And two to three times weekly, target all your major muscle groups with the 10 strength training exercises you learned at Pritikin. Equally important, eat well – lots of fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains every day. You will lose excess fat, wherever it is on your body.”

You cant spot reduce body fat.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 400-600cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day (have lots of veggies to eat in between meals if you are still hungry)
8 glasses of water -carry bottle of water with you and when you feel hungry drink it - we often confuse hunger with thirst (our bodies confuse it)
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio is the only fat burning exercise and burns fat all over your body (running, jogging, swimming, spinning, elliptical etc) 4-6 times a week for average of 45min, light weight training a few times a week (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, ice cream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
of course you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

well, since ur goal is to lose weight, i suggest going to the gym and doing a low weight/high rep workout. since you want to lose belly fat, work on your abdominals. running on a treadmill or using the stairmaster will burn excess calories. as for your diet, don't eat a lot of fatty foods. go to the drug store and ask the clerk what kind of dietary supplements are needed for you. Finally, how long will it take? it depends on if you work hard at it or go half way. good luck.
