Of course not, it was written over time by mans hand. It is the only book with out an author! Im not gay personally but I do not see why it is a bad thing, it is a choice of life as is being heterosexual, or to choose to drive versus walking. Nothing bad about it. They think it bad because they do not understand or were raised with very strong fundamentalist views.

The answer to your questions are

(a) people believe homosexuality is bad because God, who is all knowing and all wise, tells us

and

(b) yes the Bible can be relied upon for all matters of doctrine and morality.

There are reasons why we can see that homosexuality is bad, justifying what the Bible says and showing how wise God really is.

It appears that it comes about as a result of emotional problems and insecurities while a person goes through critical stages of childhood. For example, a man may have perceived as a child that his father didn't love him, so subconsciously he sets about getting male affection through sexual encounters. He is not aware why he is doing it. Unfortunately it doesn't meet his need but the cycle goes on and on.

Other reasons why it's bad is that God did not design the human body to engage in anal sex. Inserting a large object into the rectum can cause physiological problems, as well as causing bleeding which makes it easier to transmit infections like HIV.

It is very difficult to cure homosexuality, but AFAIK not impossible, I mean people have recovered and gone on to live normal lives.

I think it must be self hate mostly. If you remember their loudest talkers about the sin of gayness have been outed as extreme gay sports enthusiasts themselves.
Ted Haggard was one famous example, and Fred Phelps is a classic case of repressed homosexual tendencies being overcompensated for by a display of hyper-masculine behaviour.

No, the Bible (like any book) was written by flawed man, so there are mistakes. Many religious people think that being gay is bad because it's unnatural (you know, like eyeglasses. I wasn't born with them on, but I wear them. So I'm going to hell for doing something unnatural in order to correct my vision.).

Everything in the bible was true. being gay is wrong. God didn't make us to love the opposite sex. He made man, and from man he made woman, not another man. And it is considered wrong because you can't reproduce with two of the same sex unless you get a donation. So men and woman are like puzzle peices, we complete each other.

I believe the Bible says they are an abomination. Ezekiel 16:49

The Bible is the word of God.

Read Genesis chapter 18-19. It talks about "gay" men. And God burning Sodom and Gomorrah.

Romans 1: 26-27 calls it vile affection and unseemly.

"In the Name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful"

God created everything in pairs. Even before He has created man. The universe. Night, Day. Heaven, Earth. Male, Female. Even man was made from two-mud and God's spirit. Which is body and soul. And You cannot have one without the other. The Koran repeatedly affirms that all things are signs of God, which is to say that everything gives news of God’s nature and reality. It is up to man to choose where to go, towards mud or providence. And as long as he has not selected either of the poles as his fate, struggle will perpetually rage within him.
Man's Creation from the Islamic Viewpoint

In the beginning the Lord addresses all the angels: "I want to create a vicegerent on earth," (Pay attention to the worth of man in Islam. Even the Post-Renaissance European humanism has not been able to bestow such an exalting sanctity upon man.). God, being the greatest and most exalting from a faithful Muslim point of view, addresses the angels to introduce His vicegerent. Thus, with this providential address the mission of man on earth is clarified. That is, man's mission on earth is to fulfill God's creative work in the universe. Therefore, man's first superiority is that he represents God on earth. The angels objected, "Do you want to create a revengeful and vindictive creature to commit crime and bloodshed on earth again?" But God responds, "I know something you know not." And so, God became engaged in creating man. And this is the point which symbols, loaded with profound anthropological connotations, come into being. Since God wants to create a vicegerent for Himself on earth, He must, as a rule, choose the most valuable and sacred material. Yet He selects the basest matter. In the Qur'an there are three references relative to the material that man was made of: from a sounding clay, like unto pottery, and from mud. Finally, the Lord breathed His spirit into the dry mud and man came into being. Eve was created simutaneously with Adam making woman the same nature as man. Every human is a brother or sister to each other. For the Arabic word for "rib" has been translated as "nature" . When saying, Eve was formed of Adam's "rib". The correct arabic translation is "nature." So, the two dimensional aspect here would be: Man, woman.

In the human tongue God is the most sacred and exalted being, while mud stands as a symbol of the meanest and the basest thing.

And the spirit of God is the most sacred, exalting, and the noblest "part" of His being. Accordingly, in creating man, God did not use His "breath, "blood," or "flesh"; rather He blew His own Soul into man. God is the most sublime being and His spirit is the finest entity for which man can possibly have an epithet in his language. Thus, man who was formed from mud and God's spirit is a two-dimensional being. For unlike all other beings which are one dimensional, man is two-dimensional; one dimension tends towards mud, lowliness, sedimentation, and stagnation while the other aspires to the loftiest imaginable point possible. So man is composed of two contradictions-mud and God's spirit. Thus man's significance and grandeur lie in the fact that he possesses two poles (mud and the spirit of the Lord).

it is a form of sexual deviancy.
homosex is described in the bible as a sin against man.
men are made differently than women, and are made
to complement each other.

nothing in man's emissions is considered food, either urine or semen.

mind you, sexual deviancy comes in many forms.
in god' s law, all the following are wrong:

homosex
**premarital sex**
adultery
fornication
child molestation
beastiality
rape
sodomy.
bigamy

i starred the premarital one as that is
the most common form of sexual deviancy
or sin.

now, that is biblical information. if you are
not a christian, then you will follow the dictates of your own religion.

As the old saying goes: "Love the sinner, hate the sin".
Homesexuals deserve our respect and love just like any other human does. But, homosexual SEX is gravely disordered, and it is a mortal sin.
Sex is for a married couple: A Man and a Woman. Anything that does not fall into that catagory violates the divine law and is a sin. That is a fact, and all the political correctness in the world cannot change it
