I don't find it surprising in the least, especially as I live within a couple hours drive of NYC. I wouldn't marry for money - I have the intelligence to make my own, I don't need a man providing it for me. We, on the overall, are just a more materialistic society than we have been in years past and it shows.

People get marry for the wrong reason everyday
some do it love, some do it for money, some do it so their kids will have someone to call mom, or dad
That's just how it is now

Love can't get food onto your table, money can.
You'd need to really starve to understand my statement.
I'd still choose to marry because of love though...I don't find bums attractive.
