most battery chargers shut off or power down to almost nothing after the battery has been charged so the answer is no.

Most chargers will automatically stop charging one the battery has reached full charge. Then once it drops below 80% it will start the cycle charge over again. I dont think it matters if it a Ford or Chevy. There are chargers that boost the battery that might over charge it, but the boost only last so long before it cuts off. This is a safety factor that bilt into most chargers so they dont catch fire. (models buit after 81) It helpe to look at the charger to see if it is UL approved, not UL listed.

i did no longer be attentive to Ford made a golf cart... Hmmm... yet while your charger is like maximum, it right away cuts itself off while the batteries attain an entire cost, so no harm might have been finished. the only exception could be while you're utilising a instruction manual charger. those do no longer cut back themselves off and could be monitored to stay away from over-charging. signs and indications of over-charging could be a swelling of the battery case, overflow of battery acid, or, in severe situations, even cracking of the battery situations.
