I would suggest you try to keep him off his feet if possible. Additionally, if you are truly concerned that it may be broken or something of that sort, I would suggest you construct a splint for him. That will hold the little guy over until you're able to get him to the vet. You can make the splint pretty easily using something solid/hard as a guide for the injured area and the fasten it with athletic tape or torn up fabric strips tied securely in a knot, if you don't want it to stick to his fur. Good luck. Although, if he's old perhaps its arthritis that has been triggered by something. That could explain the uncomfortableness and sudden onset. Good Luck!

There is something wrong with your dog. If his leg is bending like that it can't wait until Monday. The longer you wait to fix it the worse it will get, the harder it will be to treat, and less chance it has to heal correctly. If the leg heals incorrectly it could lead to amputation.

Call your vet, they'll either answer the phone, give you an emergency number for their clinic on their answering machine, or their machine will refer you to a nearby ER clinic. Vets are available 24/7 just like regular doctors.

It sounds like he might have broken a bone in his foot. You should take him to the Emergency Vet - they are open 24/7. If he doesn't seem like he is in horrible pain though, just limping, you might be okay to wait until tomorrow. Gauge your response depending on his behavior.

Where I live there are emergency clinics open on Sunday. Probably a wise idea to have it checked out.

i know every one is saying take him to the vet BUT i will as well because the vet knows what to do and you don't PLUS you don't want to make it worse or your dog will be in my pain.
