That assuming that ALL pit bull dogs go insane. That's such an ambiguous statement that actually means nothing. Pit bull dogs don't "go insane" any more than German Shepherds, or Schnauzers, or Pomeranians. All breeds I have enjoyed in my life. One lived to be 20 years old, he certainly wasn't insane, just a very old dog. So, if you are asking for some kind of definitive answer, it would be NO They Don't.
My pit bull was as lovable as the Pomeranian, and in fact, she scared him. If she ran yapping at him, he'd yelp and run from her. He weighed nearly 100 pounds, she weighed 4 pounds. So, was he a wuss? Yes, unless he thought you were going to hurt me or my children. Then, he'd try to kill you. But that's the way I trained him!

There is no set date for going nuts. Not for dogs of any breed, much less humans. Some just do. My friends pit started acting funny when she was about 6 months old, ie, biting feet of visitors. At 10 months, she attacked me. I'd known her from the time they brought her home. She wasn't trained to be vicious. She just was.
I'm sure there are some good pits out there somewhere, that never "snap". But as for those that do, you can blame breeding and lack of education on the owners for not realizing what they brought home much less how to deal with it effectively.

Same time their owners do, when they chain the poor things up outside all day and night, teach them to be nasty and attack people for them - the insanity of the owner is the main reason for the insanity of the pit bull.
Good people have good dogs - that simple.

Pits by nature do not "go insane" without a good reason. The only reason pits, and other dogs, have problems is due to their owners - there are not bad dogs, just bad owners.

No they don't naturally just "go insane". For some reason these dogs appeal to a** holes that beat them and put them into competition fights that make them mean. If someone treated you that way I doubt you would be able to be happiness and sunbeams all the time.

On their 3rd birthday when the clock strikes 12:35am.
They don't just "go insane". Poor breeding and crappy owners make them insane.
There are many, many, good, well behaved, nice tempered pits out there. Just the way they were meant to be.

Ignorance is bliss. There is NO breed of dog that 'goes insane' as part of it's hereditary nature. Medical conditions are another story though.

They don't go "insane". All males can become more aggressive and have behavioral problems when they reach maturity if they're not neutered. As with pits or any breed, with improper training, you will see aggression issues at a early age.
