The only job that requires you to be a natural born citizen is the President of the United States - so yes you can be an LAPD officer! (I am assuming you are a resident of the US, right?) Good luck.

you will first would desire to visit the U. S., get residency, and then probable replace right into a citizen. then you definitely will would desire to stick to to and get conventional into the LAPD as a "universal" police officer. you will spend a minimum of three-5 years as a patrol officer doing a "ordinary cop pastime" while you learn the basics of regulation Enforcement. Then, after the three-5 years, you would be eligible to objective out for the SWAT team. you will compete against all the different officers interior the dept who're fascinated interior the situation (while one is open) and that they're going to decide for the final person for the pastime. numerous remarkable police officers on no account make it to SWAT. it is nice to have an ambition, yet you could desire to be arranged to show your self on the line in patrol till now you will get a remarkable project.

Yes, you can. But WHY? I have a better idea. Apply to PDs in the Central Valley or in one of the smaller beach cities. LAPD officers probably have the most stressful jobs on the planet. I used to type police reports for various PDs in California, and I can tell you, the officers in the smaller communities have a much less stressful work life. And they get to see plenty of action, usually due to the high meth addiction rate in the state of California. Ooooooooh, I could tell you stories. IM me for details if you want. And good luck with your career in law enforcement! I wish you the best of luck.

You can't, unless you are legally in this country as a permanent resident, or naturalized citizen, and then only after you meet a slew of requirements to get in.

You have to be a resident of LA. I'm not sure if you can hold dual citizenship, either.

You have to be a citizen. We don't want foreigners telling us how to wear our pants.
