Turn every electrical appliance in your house on and you will probably find out pretty quick

As you turn on more devices in your home you are demanding more electricity. Each breaker on your house panel is set up to switch off when you have overloaded the circuit. As the current travels thru the lines they get warm. And you are only using the current that is on demand. If you turn off a device you are no longer using that current any longer. The electric is still there for your demand. As you turn on each device go outside and watch how fast your meter is running. As each device is turned off it will slow down. The amount of current is according to what is on the circut breaker. Like a 15amp breaker. So there would be only 15 amps of curent available to use. If you go over that amount the breaker will get hot and shut off.
