Experience and education tends to do that. Particularly for the charlatans that victimize the simple.

This film is certainly the atrocity of some pastor misusing his power. The people of Africa have been born into pagan religion and superstition. Their minds can be mislead for sure, even to the point of abandoning a child. This is very sad and my heart hurts to see this. Wanting to heal the world is a desire I have always had since childhood. I have realized that opportunity and choices can only help those within the physical realm.
Without the education, such as this pastor can be a wolf in sheep's clothing. Please do not judge us all by a few.
If this were the way of all Evangelicals, I would agree with you, I would not be a minister.
Hate is something of darkness. The Light and Love of God will set you free from it. Understand that not all people of religion follow self greed and darkness as this. There have been many ministers killed in Africa because of the evil that resides there. This is most unfortunate that the children have to suffer because some witch doctor claims the child has a witch.
Fear and greed is the issue here, not Love.

Romans 12:9 - "Let [YOUR] love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is wicked, cling to what is good."

This is appalling, and completely repulsive.
These people obviously have never read the bible.

1 Timothy 5:8 - "Certainly if anyone does not provide for those who are his own, and especially for those who are members of his household, he has disowned the faith and is worse than a person without faith"

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 - "If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels but do not have love, I have become a sounding [piece of] brass or a clashing cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophesying and am acquainted with all the sacred secrets and all knowledge, and if I have all the faith so as to transplant mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. And if I give all my belongings to feed others, and if I hand over my body, that I may boast, but do not have love, I am not profited at all."

This has wounded my heart; pierced my soul...
I share your anger of these disgusting acts of violents against these little children...

Unfortunately, a lot of bad stuff is done in the name of Christianity. Anyone that is Christian or knows a true Christian, knows this is not really the work of God, but the work of satan under God's name. Satan prowls around like a wolf in sheeps clothing. These horrible acts against children are a good example of this. How very very sad.

Not necessary for that.
They were doing what they only know for the good of mankind.
But were not even aware that they need three parts to make it a success.
So there no one to be blame.
When it were just blunders and slip-ups with human errors created back in the past centuries without anyone being aware of it.

Their behavior is despicable.

Edit: Just read the article. Thats sick. And the Christians actually wonder why we consider Christianity a bad thing? Just read it, you'll find out why. Thats disgusting. Those people need jail.

In fact, that makes me sick. How can anyone with an ounce of conscience ever think this is ok?

Because Evangelicals are not happy with believing and worshipping as they choose. They seem to feel that the rest of us need to 'conform' and 'choose' as they have. I don't hate them, but I do enjoy putting them in their place once in a while. As they have the right to choose their faith, I have the right to choose to follow my own belief. As with sex, "NO" should be all you need to say. But with them, it's not. I admire some of them for their ability to remain steadfast in what they believe, and stay away from those who spew vitriol in my direction because I'm different from them.

Join the club. It's because they want to force everyone to believe what they believe and prohibit sensible things like teaching evolution and sex education in school.
But hatred is a poison, and I've managed to stop hating them. They used to be liberal on a lot of issues.

Please do not hate them, or anyone. I am a Christian, and I can't stand being around some other Christians myself. Don't lump us all into one catagory. There are Cristians who are sanctimonious, self righteous know it alls, but that is not what we are meant to be. We are meant to try to be like Jesus, and he was none of that, and didn't want to be around people like that. None of us are perfect. God Bless you!

This is not a legitimate source for news.

The story is a lie, a fabrication made up to make Christians look bad by non Christians.

I don't believe a word of it.
