You can eat breakfast, in fact I would recommend it. You may become a little drowsy and slightly pale afterward, if you get dizzy afterward sit down immediately. It will pinch a little bit at first but after that it's completely painless and simple. After you're finished giving blood make sure you drink some orange juice or something and eat something small.
Other than that just know that before you donate they'll probably take your blood pressure, temperature, do a finger prick to make sure you're not anemic, ask you a few questions about tattoos, sexual partners, STD's, allergies etc, and then allow you to donate as long as all of that comes back satisfactorily to them.

Sometimes it is better not to eat to much but just have a snack and then eat after but if you're planning on giving again (which I hope you do ) you could start testing different things that work for you. You should be fine the rest of the day just, it really depends on you body type and may very with the kind of day you are having.

Eat breakfast. They will keep you for a bit after and give you cookies and juice and monitor you for any adverse effects.
Just plan on taking it easy for a half hour or so. Also, start drinking lots of water. You'll be able to go back to work.
Congrats on your first donation! It's a wonderful thing to do. I hope this is the first of many.

If there is a few thing incorrect with your heart, then you definately shouldn't drink alcohol. purely a blood attempt for alcohol will discover alcohol on your blood. If it incredibly is not what they are finding out for, then there's no way they'd understand in case you drank or not. nicely, different than on your bloodshot eyes, pungent breath and the luggage decrease than your eyes. in case you persist with the training: no nutrition or drink after 9, all would be nicely. whether you're taking your final sip of regardless of at 8:fifty 9, you will nevertheless be following instructions.

Generally, it's harder for women to give blood than men---it's harder on your system because your body is smaller, and there's less blood - and- women can easily be anemic.
Get the biggest meal you can before going in there, a good solid breakfast.
No matter what you do, it may make you "woozy", but that won't last too long.
