So this means that you never wear polyester and cotton shirts because the Bible clearly states that we are not to wear garments of "mixed thread." And how are your slaves these days? Have you driven an awl into their ears and the doorpost yet so that they will willingly serve you forever? And of course you didn't have ham or bacon with breakfast this morning -- that old cloven hoof but no cud-chewing rule.
It never ceases to amaze me that the same people who quote that passage in Timothy start howling in protest whenever you bring up other Jewish practices that were in effect during Paul's day. But oh no, women are expected to shut up and act stupid because "It's in the Bible, you know -- women are supposed to be silent."
Got a news flash for ya, chum -- welcome to the year 2007, where God gave women brains and abilities and expects us to use them, too.

Yeah that's one of those, don't eat pork chops or meat on friday rules. You don't suppose imperfect men wrote a lot of that stuff do you? I go with what was written by the hand of God. Men put more silly stuff into the bible than our government has in it's rule books. Obey the 10 commandments, listen to what Jesus taught, and pray for guidance.

women did not go to school, in them days, nor had a right of opinion/vote till ?? 1920 right?
since then, women are being educated for political position, and someday president of USA..yet, the women still by GOD's ORDER..if married..submit to the husband. that still stand..yet the husband suppose to submit to GOD..like a wife submit to husband.
NOW what sin is worst than another? they are all equal before GOD. it is very odd when a woman don't have love..it's in their nature. lying is just as evil as murder as noted in court of law. both goes to jail. sin is sin.
